Dear Śrīla Prabhupāda,
Please accept our humble obeisances at the dust of your lotus feet. All glories to Your Divine
Grace.

Śrīla Prabhupāda, you did not personally come to Bali, one of the islands in Indonesia, but in
1973 you did come to Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia. You encouraged us to preach Kṛṣṇa con-
sciousness here in Indonesia. You also wrote:
Please accept my blessings. I beg to acknowledge receipt of your letter of December 13,
1971, and I am very pleased to note that you are so determined to spread this Krishna
Consciousness movement, that you are remaining alone in Djakarta just to seize the
wonderful opportunity we have got there for preaching. That is the sign of the first-
class devotee, that he is always willing to sacrifice everything to please Krishna by
preaching His glories, even under all sorts of difficult conditions. I am very encour-
aged by your attitude of sincere Krishna Consciousness. In this way you go on perfect-
ing your life more and more, and very soon, I promise you, you will go back to Home,
back to Godhead. Know it for certain. (Letter to Amogha Dāsa, December 25, 1971)
Now, there are many temples in Indonesia. In Bali itself, there are six major temples and some
nāmahaṭṭas. Each one of them has their own preaching program. We are from Rādhā-Gopīnātha
temple, which is located in Werdi Bhuana Village, Badung regency, Bali. Because of restrictions
by our local government, we cannot preach publicly like we once did. Still, our Food-for-Life
program can go on publicly, and we do book distribution as best as we can either offline or online.
Despite all the restrictions, we still hold our temple program, like the Sunday feast and festivals,
inviting people to join once they’re inside the temple. Some of our devotees can distribute books
in schools, to friends, and outside of Bali, as well as at the Food-for-Life program.
Recently, some devotees went to meet the seventh president of Indonesia to give him Bhagavad-
gītā As It Is. You can see this event at https://iskconnews.org/indonesian-president-jokowi-receives-
bhagavad-gita-praises-lord-krishna/. We offer these programs for your pleasure and the pleasure
of the previous ācāryas.
We also have intern programs for our devotees, such as small farming, a weekly school for the
kids, monthly workshops, etc. These three programs are now our main programs. Related to the
workshops, we hold three workshops on japa, kīrtana, and śāstra. The main goal of the workshop
is to strengthen the quality of japa and kīrtana and to encourage the devotees to study Śrīla
Prabhupāda books regularly. These programs are inspired by your letter about “boiling the milk.”
We also want to say that currently, we have nine families who live around the Rādhā-Gopīnātha
temple. In the future, we hope we can develop a larger Vaiṣṇava community.
Dear Śrīla Prabhupāda, we beg for your mercy so that we can develop the Rādhā-Gopīnātha
temple in Bali in such a way that more people come here to perform nāma-saṅkīrtana, study your
books systematically, and be Kṛṣṇa conscious in this one lifetime.
Your insignificant servant,
Gadādhar Prāṇa Dāsa
