Dear Śrīla Prabhupāda, Your Divine Grace,
nama oṁ viṣṇu-pādāya kṛṣṇa-preṣṭhāya bhū-tale
śrīmate bhaktivedānta-svāmin iti nāmine
namas te sārasvate deve gaura-vāṇī-pracāriṇe
nirviśeṣa-śūnyavādi-pāścātya-deśa-tāriṇe
Your appearance has given birth to a new world – a world that has no night or day but is per-
petual wakefulness; a world that has no past, present, or future but only dharma, duty; a world
that has no days, weeks, months, or years but only darshan of the lotuslike abode of your beloved
Lord, the all-merciful Supreme Personality of Godhead, Śrī Kṛṣṇa, the darling of Mother Yaśodā
and Nanda Mahārāja; a world where dry arguments have withered away under the effulgent luster
of your transcendental form reflected on your dearest devotees; a world that breaks individual
circles and restores them to that original circle of devotional service to Śrī Rādhe-Śyāma; a world
where the shady characters of impersonalists, voidists, and atheists in the garb of theists are at
once exposed by the illuminating light of your Bhāgavatam purports; a world where the deceitful
fruitive workers, speculators, salvationists, and meditators run away, scattering hither and thither,
by once hearing the thunderous roar of your preaching, a manifestation of your unwavering
devotion to protect and serve the message of Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu, which you received
from Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura, your beloved Guru Mahārāja; a world that was
once upon a time puffed-up with its so-called material advancement and is now fallen to its knees,
losing all its power when hearts feel the vibration and dance to the beat of your bṛhat-mṛdaṅga.
Śrīla Prabhupāda, this world that once attracted those who have deluded themselves, thinking
themselves enjoyers, has now taken a new form, after your appearance – one of yukta-vairāgya
(actual, proper renunciation) after receiving a tiny fraction of your mahā-bhāgavata prasādam.
Your appearance has given birth to a new world – a world that was once filled with the agita-
tions of persons acting like śva-viḍ-varāhoṣṭra-kharaiḥ has now dramatically evolved to a purer plat-
form of accepting initiation, simply observing the four regulative principles of not eating meat,
fish, or eggs, taking no intoxication, not gambling, and not having illicit sex, and chanting six-
teen rounds of the mahā-mantra. These persons will fast on Ekādaśīs and mahotsavas; a world that
was heavily peopled by sahajiyās and those desiring to become sole masters is at once revolution-
ized by the collective, undeterred missionary activities headed by one-pointed valiant mahārathīs
from your saṅkīrtana movement, whose loyalty and adherence to the ultimate managing authority
of ISKCON, the Governing Body Commission, is remarkably exemplary. Harmonious coopera-
tion at its best.
There will be a new world – one that once succumbed to crumbling is at once raised on a rock-
solid foundation of undeniable strength, which can only be derived from the association of your
Vaikuṇṭha-effulgent devotees. This world, which was bombarded by chaos, frustration, and hope-
lessness is now reborn through the vigorous chanting of the blissful holy names of Kṛṣṇa: Hare
Kṛṣṇa Hare Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa Hare Hare / Hare Rāma Hare Rāma, Rāma Rāma Hare Hare.
Śrīla Prabhupāda, a world where work is binding will now involve learning the art of perform-
ing liberating work as a sacrifice to please the Supreme Lord Viṣṇu; a futile world is becoming a
world developing affinity for hearing the messages of Vāsudeva, Kṛṣṇa. And, once a lost world,
we’re now attaining this rarest opportunity, access to the via medium, the spiritual master who is a
pure devotee of Kṛṣṇa, whom if pleased, will take one to that Supreme abode of the Lord, Goloka
Vrindavan.
I utter today my earnest prayer, Śrīla Prabhupāda, to very kindly grant me shelter at the soles
of your lotus feet, where I can humbly serve in the association of your dearest devotees.
On behalf of my beloved wife, Mālikā Devī Dāsī, and our daughter Nandinī, the devotees
and students in our local Bhāgavata Saṅga online study group, and the devotees, well-wishers,
and friends of the Davao Hare Kṛṣṇa Centre, Philippines, I would like to thank you, Śrīla
Prabhupāda. I beg to remain forever indebted to Your Divine Grace.
Śrīla Prabhupāda kī jaya! Founder-ācārya of ISKCON, param-guru Śrīla Prabhupāda kī jaya!
Your insignificant servant,
Nārada Ṛṣi Dāsa
