Your Divine Grace, Śrīla Prabhupāda!
We bow down humbly in the dust of your lotus feet. All glories to you, dear Śrīla Prabhupāda!
On this auspicious day of your appearance, please allow us to express our endless gratitude for
your boundless mercy and for the light you kindled in the hearts of millions of people around the
world.
oṁ ajñāna-timirāndhasya jñānāñjana-śalākayā
cakṣur unmīlitaṁ yena tasmai śrī-gurave namaḥ
I was born in the darkness of ignorance, but my spiritual master opened my eyes with
the torchlight of knowledge. I offer my respectful obeisances unto him.
Śrīla Prabhupāda, by your mercy, even here in Toronto – a city you personally visited and blessed
with your presence – your great mission continues. In the heart of the city we hold harināmas, and
devotees from different parts of the world gather to chant the glories of Kṛṣṇa. Besides the kīrtana,
we distribute your books, which, like spiritual seeds enter people’s hearts and awaken their eter-
nal connection with Kṛṣṇa. We have the opportunity to listen to your disciples, who generously
share with us your teachings and example of devoted service.
You are an ocean of all noble qualities. Your compassion knows no bounds. Through your
books, temples, and followers, we – the fallen souls of this age – have been given the chance to
break free from the endless cycle of birth and death and find shelter at the lotus feet of the Lord.
How can we ever repay you for this priceless gift? The only way is to sincerely strive to serve
your mission with faith, devotion, and determination.
Please bless us with strength, humility, and enthusiasm to continue your preaching, spread the
holy name, distribute your books, and help others come to the lotus feet of Śrī Kṛṣṇa.
Your unworthy but sincerely aspiring servants,
Devotees of the Russian-speaking yātrā in Toronto
