Our dearest Śrīla Prabhupāda,
Please accept our prostrated obeisance at the dust of your lotus feet on this most auspicious
occasion of your appearance for the benefit of all the fallen souls of this world. All glories to Your
Divine Grace.
Thank you, Śrīla Prabhupāda, for engaging us in the service of your dear Lordships Śrī Śrī
Jagannātha-Baladeva-Subhadrā, Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Nīlamādhava, and the most merciful Śrī Śrī Gaura-
Nitai, and thereby making our lives truly successful.
Kṛṣṇa consciousness is urgent and can’t wait for anything external – this was the first teaching
your Guru Mahārāja gave you, and you made your entire life a living testimony to this order. As
you started your preaching endeavors in India, you were always carrying a sense of urgency to
spread Kṛṣṇa consciousness quickly all over the world, whether by writing a letter to Mahatma
Gandhiji, explaining to him the real meaning of the term “Mahatma” along with the real occupa-
tion of the “Harijanas”; explaining to Dr. Rajendra Prasad, the then president of India, your for-
mula for taking everybody back to Godhead; making your plans for worldwide outreach through
the League of Devotees, based in Jhansi; or frequently forgoing meals so you could purchase
more paper to print Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam. All these and many more instances in your life show your
overwhelming compassion for the conditioned souls and a great sense of urgency to spread Krsna
consciousness in the world.
Śrīla Prabhupāda, you descended to this world to fulfill the prediction of Lord Caitanya, as He
proclaimed it five hundred years ago:
ebe nāma-saṅkīrtana tīkṣṇa khaḍga laiyā
antara asura jīvera phelibe kāṭiyā
yadi pāpi chāḍi dharma dūre deśe yāya
mora senāpati-bhakta yāibe tathāya
Taking the sharp sword of the congregational chanting of the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra,
I will root out and destroy the demoniac mentality in the hearts of all conditioned
souls. If some sinful people escape, going to far-off countries, then my senāpati-bhakta
[general of the devotees] will come at that time to give them Kṛṣṇa consciousness.
(Caitanya-maṅgala, Sūtra-khaṇḍa 564–65)
I don’t think any sane man would dare to doubt the fact that you are the same senāpati-bhakta, the
empowered commander in chief of Lord Caitanya.
We, your humble servants at ISKCON Warangal, are very fortunate to receive this golden
chance to engage in the mission of Lord Caitanya through your teachings. In the last year, these
are some of our humble offerings at your lotus feet:
• A total of thirty-five devotees in our community have been initiated.
• We have started a Bhakta Prahlad school to engage and train children in Kṛṣṇa
consciousness.
• 27,000 people attended our Janmāṣṭamī celebrations in 2024.
• Part of the 1.1 acre of land at Manikonda, which was illegally annexed by a local estate
holder, has now been cleared, and recently we have taken possession of the property.
• We have undertaken major renovations in the existing ashram. The ashram was renovated to
cater to brahmacārīs and the local college students taking up Kṛṣṇa consciousness.
• The existing temple hall is being extended from 1,000 to 2,000 square feet to facilitate an
increasing number of activities at the temple.
• We have opened four new student centers near reputed colleges to give students the oppor-
tunity to practice Kṛṣṇa consciousness.
• We have been regularly doing Food-for-Life prasādam distribution near the temple as well
as within the city a minimum of twice a month. Hundreds of people come and receive
kṛṣṇa-prasādam.
Dear Śrīla Prabhupāda, we sincerely seek your mercy to continue our services and increase our
outreach through book distribution, harināma, and various preaching programs. We also want to
complete the renovation work as early as possible so that hundreds of thousands of people can
visit and benefit from the glorious opportunity to practice devotional service which you provided.
In a letter to Kṛṣṇā Devī, dated January 26, 1968, you so beautifully, succinctly, and poetically
pointed out the real purpose of life in this material world: “This life of material existence is just
like hard wood, and if we can carve Krishna out of it, that is the success of our life.” Please bless
us so that we can perfect our existence by becoming your servants and truly surrendering our-
selves to your lotus feet, thereby utilizing the hard wood of material existence to carve the Deity
of Kṛṣṇa out of it.
Your servant,
Sītārāma Dāsa,
on behalf of the ISKCON Warangal devotees
