Umāpati Dāsa

Dear Śrīla Prabhupāda,

Please accept my humble obeisances on this most auspicious occasion of your Vyāsa-pūjā.

I am an insignificant servant of your dear disciple, His Holiness Gopal Krishna Goswami Mahārāja. By his merciful instructions, I am serving here in Nairobi, Kenya – a place where you personally came three times, installed the beautiful Deities Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Baṅkebihārī with your lotus hands, and predicted that Nairobi would become the jewel of Africa.

Śrīla Prabhupāda, I have full faith that your divine prediction will be fulfilled when the temple president, leaders, and all devotees are local devotees, firmly rooted in Kṛṣṇa consciousness. This will only be possible by your causeless mercy.

By your grace, the Nairobi temple is striving to serve your mission. We are distributing your transcendental books, and in recent years, Nairobi has come first in Africa in book distribution. At our HKTC, sixty students live and practice daily sādhana, and through Food for Life we distribute 1,500 plates of prasādam every day. We also engage in harināma-saṅkīrtana regularly.

By your mercy, we have a 100-acre farm with 150 cows. Recently, we began preaching in Nakuru, and on April 5 we opened a new preaching center there. Inspired by your example of preaching in Eldoret, we are now building a temple there as well.

Śrīla Prabhupāda, all this progress is happening only by your mercy. I pray to remain forever the servant of your servant, and to contribute in whatever small way I can to fulfill your divine mission in Africa.

Your insignificant servant of your servant,

Umāpati Dāsa
