Dear Śrīla Prabhupāda,

As you were leaving this world, you said, “Try to expand our mission. If you cannot expand it,
at least maintain it.” Sadly, we were not able to do that, and today your Western mission is quite
small compared to what it was under your direct leadership. Thus, it is the duty of your faithful
followers to join together in a determined effort to expand your Western followers. You often
emphasized that if leading Western countries accepted Kṛṣṇa consciousness, the world would
follow. This was your global strategy to establish Lord Caitanya’s saṅkīrtana movement as the
yuga-dharma for the whole world. I pray that Lord Kṛṣṇa empower us to carry out your clearly
stated desire for this planet. You gave your life to achieve this most noble goal, and we should
give our lives in the same spirit. This will show that we actually understand the yuga-dharma and
the founder-ācārya of ISKCON.
Your servant,
Hridayananda dāsa Goswami
