My revered spiritual master, Śrīla Prabhupāda,
Please accept my heartfelt obeisances hundreds of times. I bow down to Your Divine Grace’s lotus feet as my ultimate shelter. At my advanced age, what else can I do except surrender to your desire in a one-pointed service to please you and my godbrothers, who are overseeing me?
Although the progress is relatively slow in fundraising, this is not dampening my resolve to accomplish the manifestation of a magnanimous temple of your glorious preaching of Kṛṣṇa consciousness in Thailand. Simply depending on Your Divine Grace, I want to breathe my last after completion of this project. I have been praying to Lord Śrī Kṛṣṇa to grant my desire.
Meanwhile, I want to follow in your footsteps – how you exhibited your presence and the preaching that I witnessed in 1976 in New York. Who can imitate you, an empowered incarnation? But you did say “Do as I do” and “Repeat after me.” This encourages me even though I am disqualified on my own. Will you, my master, kick me out, a blind imitator of yours?
In my childhood I was known as an obstinate boy. Am I sticking to the temple project in Thailand with my childhood obstinacy? Is obstinacy called resolve? I want to purify my thoughts by begging for your grace, which is divine! On this auspicious day of your appearance, I beg you to shower your mercy on me so that I offer my life at your lotus feet birth after birth.
Your selfish and last-minute disciple,
Vedavyāsapriya Swami
