Dear Guru Mahārāja,
Please accept my humble obeisances at the dust of your lotus feet! All glories to Your Divine Grace. All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda!
It’s been 17 years since I first met Your Divine Grace. I was just reflecting the different interactions that I have had the good rare fortune of having with Lord Caitanya’s eternal associate. And as I was reflecting, two things struck me.
One is Your Divine Grace’s position as my Spiritual father. Over the years because of trying to serve you in different ways that Kṛṣṇa has permitted, my relationship with you Guru Mahārāja has deepened and my desire to serve you more and more has also deepened. There are many devotees who I am inspired by in my Kṛṣṇa Consciousness and want to serve them as well with my life and soul but the position of having you as my Spiritual father seems to come from developing a relationship over years of service.
Not only service but your reciprocation! The driving force is the reciprocation that Your Divine Grace still manages to bestow inspite of everything! You never fail to ask about how we are doing in spite of having so many health challenges yourself. And at the same time whenever I inquire about your health Guru Mahārāja, if time permits you also graciously let me into the details of your health though I am not your treating doctor. It surely gives me a feeling of being important though I am most insignificant.
Thank you for accepting to be my Spiritual father.
The second thing that struck me was the change that your body seems to have gone externally after the stroke. Still, 8 years after the stroke and not a single complaint from you Guru Mahārāja What more proof does anyone need to know that you are not your body Guru Mahārāj? This just continues to amaze me. Not just any complaints but full on traveling and continuing to preach about the mercy of Lord Caitanya and Lord Nityānanda! So much bliss.
There are no words to describe this transcendental phenomenon.
Please forgive me for my offenses Guru Mahārāja Thank you for giving me shelter at your lotus feet and please bless me to serve and please Your Divine Grace and Śrīla Prabhupāda.
Your insignificant servant
