Today is your most auspicious 72nd Vyasa Puja. The day we celebrate your tireless and unprecedented service to Srila Prabhupad. The day we are immensely inspired to continue and improve our Krishna consciousness. As Shastra says there are never enough words to glorify the activities of the Supreme lord and his devotees. You are a great devotee and representative of the Supreme Lord. Hence I am incapable of glorifying you, but the attempt to glorify you is to purify myself. The following verse from Srimad Bhagvatam explains that each can glorify the lord according to their capacity and hence please accept this homage even though it is full of mistakes.
ŚB 1.18.23
ahaṁ hi pṛṣṭo ’ryamaṇo bhavadbhir
ācakṣa ātmāvagamo ’tra yāvān
nabhaḥ patanty ātma-samaṁ patattriṇas
tathā samaṁ viṣṇu-gatiṁ vipaścitaḥ
O ṛṣis, who are as powerfully pure as the sun, I shall try to describe to you the transcendental pastimes of Viṣṇu as far as my knowledge is concerned. As the birds fly in the sky as far as their capacity allows, so do the learned devotees describe the Lord as far as their realization allows.
Another glorious year has passed wherein you have added tremendous amount of Sukriti to the world with your pure devotion. You have shown us there is no material situation which can stop our devotion. Your capacity to preach has miraculously increased in a time of no travel and other restrictions. You have visited thousands of homes through internet. We were fortunate to have you in our home almost every weekend. It has been a tremendous inspiration to have you visit our home and your blessings have helped us survive material hindrances to our devotion. I used to travel to Mayapur every year to inspire myself and was feeling little let down that I was not able to recharge my devotional attitude this year. But I realized through your visits you are bringing Mayapur to our homes and as mentioned it has helped me tremendously.
Another great inspiration was your determination to preach even when you contacted COVID-19. I was very worried, but later realized that these are Lilas and it is very difficult for me to comprehend them. My realization is that you suffer physically to help devotees of our movement and also for the whole world. I beg your mercy to become worthy of your sacrifice.
This year I have taken few additional responsibilities in hope of serving you. I have been serving in Sydney temple congregational leadership committee and my primary responsibility is preaching. I have been trying to expand Bhakti Vriksha preaching and have been training devotees to become Bhakti Vriksha leaders. I am also assisting in training new preachers to start Manjari programs. I am also assisting in training devotees to do online Bhakti Vriksha programs. Also I am working to start new Manjari program in other regional towns in New south wales. Please bless me and empower me as personally I have no purity or capability to do any service. Please bless me to be more consistent with my efforts and more determined to follow through all of my new enterprises in Krishna consciousness. Please bless these new efforts to be successful.
On personal front I am seeking your blessing on this auspicious day to improve myself devotionally. Your classes on Lord Chaitanya have made me realize how hard and dry my heart is. I see that I have no attachment to Lord Chaitanya and his associates. I beg your mercy to achieve Gaura prema. I understand that I am mostly in Rajo Guna and hence I need to give up my attachments. I seek your blessings to be more detached from my personal happiness and be fully attached for the pleasure of Lord Chaitanya.
Finally I beg the mercy of Lord Jagannath,Baladev, Subadrama and Sudarshan Cakra , Giri Govardhan, Gaura Nitai and Srila Prabhupad for your health. You are my anchor, who is holding me in devotion in this world of material turbulence and without you I will be swept away. Please bless us and help us by staying very long with us and guide us to perfection.
Your fallen son
