Nama Om Vishnu padaya Krsna presthaya bhutale
Srimate Jayapataka swamin iti namine,
Nama Acharya padaya Nitai kripa pradayine
Gaura katha dhama daya nagara grama tarine
All glories to Sri-Sri Guru and Gauranga!
My beloved Guru Maharaj, on this unique day I feel especially grateful for Your causeless mercy by having accepted me as Your disciple.
Every year I think about the meaning of a vyasa-puja offering. What can I offer to my Guru-Marahaj, the person who is, unmotivately ,saving me from this material nature?
It is said that if one has no desire to serve Krishna, one should pray for that desire. And if someone does not know how to pray, he must beg to learn to pray.
In my initiation ceremony, You told me that You should no longer make exceptions for rascals like me, but You also said that Your heart does not let You stop making exceptions.
Your heart is an ocean of mercy, where the Supreme Lord enjoys by seeing yours boundless effort to save the conditioned souls and teach us how to beg for the love of God; how to beg for devotional service to Krishna.
So, what can I offer to You, on this auspicious day, if not my desire to satisfy you with my services, and thus be able to serve You eternally in your service to Srila Prabhupada and Sri Sri Gaura-Nitai!
Guru Maharaj JayaPataka Swami ki Jay!
