Vyāsa-pūjā 2021

Aniruddha Gopāla Dāsa (Kṛṣṇa Kathā Deśa - Middle East)

Hare Krsna! Dear Guru Maharaj, Dandavat Pranam!

Please accept my respectful obeisances.

All glories to Srila Prabhupad. All glories to Your divine self.

It is now more than a year for many devotees to get your association & blessings in person. But with the advancement of technology, we have been able to connect to you daily in Zoom. This way you also have been visiting the residence of many disciples all over the world. For a disciple, there is nothing greater than inviting the Spiritual Master to their residence, do pada-puja & serve prasadam.

Yesterday, I was preparing for weekend Bhagavad Gita class sloka 2.66. The first sentence in the purport says, "Unless one is in Krsna consciousness, there is no possibility of peace". Later in reference to this sentence I came across another statement in Srimad Bhagavatam 8.1.15, where the sentence in last paragraph of the purport reads, "Always thinking of Krsna means chanting the Hare Krsna mantra, but unless one is an initiated devotee he cannot do this".

In 1998, when I saw you for the first time at the residence of H.G.Vaikuntapathi Prabhu & H.G.Lokamatha Lakshmi Mathaji in Krsna Katha Desh, I did not have any clue of how & why one must connect to Lord Krsna. But with proper guidance from my siksha gurus & devotees association, I could progress in my Krsna Conscious journey. Today, the above hilighted sentence made me feel that I must always be grateful to you for accepting me as your bonafide disciple. Wthout this mercy from You Guru Maharaj, I would not be able to think & remember Krsna to perform my spiritual activities.

You have showered so much mercy not just upon me but my whole family. You were kind enough to accept my father Rasikananda Madhav Das, my mother Paramanandini Radhika Devi Dasi, my wife Rupesvari Revati Devi Dasi as your disciple by giving them diksha. I can never forget the opportunity my wife & I got, to perform Pada puja, when you visited Krsna Katha Desh in the year 2017.

Unfortunately because of Covid, last year & this year, I have not visited Mayapur to attend your Vyasapuja. I pray to Lord Narsimhadev to give you protection and pray that very soon we all will be free from the Covid situation so that we can start travelling.

My daughters Parvathi Anantha & Savithri Anantha join me along with my wife & mother in wishing you a Happy Vyasapuja celebrations.

Your servant,

Aniruddha Gopala das
