Dear Guru Maharaja,
please accept my humble obeisances on your lotus feet.
All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
I am very fortunate to have the opportunity to write to you on the auspicious day of your appearance. I pray at the lotus feet of Sri Sri Gaura Nitai to shower you with many more Vyasa puja days.
May Gauranga Mahaprabhu always keep you healthy and energetic so you can keep distributing His love to millions of conditioned souls. Guru Maharaj with contaminated consciousness, it is difficult to understand Krishna or Krishna consciousness without taking the shelter of Srila Prabhupada's books. And I always see you reminding all of us again and again "books are the basis." Guru Maharaj, you carry Srila Prabhupada in your heart where ever you speak which is relishable in your lectures. Only because of your kindness and association have I been able to keep practicing Krishna consciousness. By your mercy the clouds of ignorance in my consciousness have greatly dissipated, my more debilitating addictions have disappeared, and I have become happy. I can't even begin to repay you without being allowed to engage in your service and that of your servants. I am in a completely reliant condition and although I don't deserve it, you have given me shelter, just like Lord Caitanya came and freely gave His mercy to the conditioned souls. I am obviously incapable of glorifying you as you deserve, your glories being unknown to me, but please accept this offering, as a small step towards your service.
Just like Caitanya Mahaprabhu mercifully accepted even fallen living entities like Jagai-Madai, Guru Maharaj you have accepted this unqualified disciple. Guru Maharaj, please bless me with a very special blessing on this auspicious day that I will always stay on Srila Prabhupada Jaladuta ISKCON ship.
Srimad Bhagavatam 5.5.1. explains:
"Human life means voluntarily practicing suffering in the form of austerities and penances for the advancement of spiritual life. ... To relieve them from this bondage and enable them to become blissful and happy, bhakti-yoga should be taught."
You have so kindly given me the opportunity to engage in this bhakti-yoga process, which is the real success in life.
Guru Maharaj Kindly keeps me under your divine Shelter, always.
Guru Maharaj’s Vyasa Puja mahotsva ki Kai.
Your useless servant,
Chandrasekhar & Lakshmi
