My dear Guru Maharaja,
Please accept my very respectful obeisances at your lotus feet. All glories to Srila Prabhupada.
On this most auspicious day of your appearance I express my deepest gratitude for constantly guiding fallen conditioned souls like me in the path of Krsna Consciousness.
In eleventh canto chapter 2 of Srimad Bhagavatam Sukadeva goswami says the following to Parikshit maharaj :
“”A person who is not bewildered by the inevitable miseries of material existence, and who remains aloof from them simply by remembering the lotus feet of the Supreme Personality of Godhead, is to be considered bhāgavata-pradhāna, the foremost devotee of the Lord. (SB 11.2.49)”.
Though you are facing many difficulties and physical challenges, as explained in the above verse from Bhagavatam, you are least troubled and you are callous to such material miseries due to your constant remembrance of the lotus feet of Sri Krsna. The current situation has made your mobility to almost nil. However, the amazing fact is that you have given your association thro the online media every day in a very wonderful way. Thro daily Caitanya lila class, daily home visits, lectures on special occasions you are spreading Krsna consciousness like the usual way and none of the material impediments has affected your routine.
Srila Prabhupada writes the following in his purport to BG 6.20-23.
As long as the material body exists, one has to meet the demands of the body, namely eating, sleeping, defending and mating. But a person who is in pure bhakti yoga, or in Kṛṣṇa consciousness, does not arouse the senses while meeting the demands of the body. Rather, he accepts the bare necessities of life, making the best use of a bad bargain, and enjoys transcendental happiness in Kṛṣṇa consciousness. He is callous toward incidental occurrences – such as accidents, disease, scarcity and even the death of a most dear relative – but he is always alert to execute his duties in Kṛṣṇa consciousness, or bhakti-yoga. Accidents never deviate him from his duty.As stated in the Bhagavad-gītā (2.14), āgamāpāyino ’nityās tāṁs titikṣasva bhārata. He endures all such incidental occurrences because he knows that they come and go and do not affect his duties. In this way he achieves the highest perfection in yoga practice.
As Srila Prabhupada mentions in the above purport, bodily difficulties and ailments do not affect your duty of spreading Krsna consciousness. You are ever eager to distribute the mercy of Sri Caitanya Mahaprabhu to as many souls as possible irrespective of the physical conditions and blockages caused by material nature. Due to your love for Srila Prabhupada and your deep attachment for the holy name you extend yourself to beyond limits and bring many fallen conditioned souls to the lotus feet of Sri Krsna.
On this auspicious day I beg for your mercy and kind blessings so that I may remain as a speck of dust at your lotus feet and continue to serve you in some insignificant way to please you and the guru parampara.
Please bless me gurudeva so as to continue the insignificant and tiny service in conducting BV classes in my area at Chennai. By your causeless mercy devotees are progressing well in their Krsna conscious life despite the current difficult conditions.
I repeatedly beg at the lotus feet of Sri Sri Radha madhava & asta sakis, Sri Panca Tattva, Sri Prahalad Narasimhadev and Srila Prabhupada to give protection and good health to our very dear Guru maharaja.
Your humble servant
Swarna Madhava das,
