Dear Śrīla Gurudeva,
Please accept my humble obeisances in the dust of your lotus feet.
The principle of Śrī Guru is absolute. The spiritual master is on par with the Supreme Lord as sākṣād hari. The mercy incarnation of God Himself is the karuna avatar or Śrī Gurudeva. To have implicit faith in Śrī Guru requires great pious merit, as revealed in the famous Mahābhārata śloka ‘mahā-prasāde govinde nāma-brahmaṇi vaiṣṇave’.
Being very merciful, you have accepted me as your Dīkṣā disciple and for that I am eternally indebted to you. Your unwavering devotion and loyalty to your dīkṣā Guru Śrīla Prabhupāda is clear as day for all to see and behold in deep admiration, awe and veneration!
Acharya means leading by example and you have lived and led an exemplary life of a Vaishnava saint. Even in your present externally debilitated condition, you maintain the same level of intense dedication and love for the mission of Śrīla Prabhupāda’s mission to spread the teachings of lord Caitanya all over the world.
Due to my wicked and miserly nature, I tend to be a separatist and not a team player. This is the cause my ultimate downfall and I regret to admit this fault to you, Śrīla Gurudeva. With all my faults, selfishness and multiple failings, I still hope to become a good disciple and render valuable services to your lotus feet. Such service automatically means serving all the previous acharyas, with special refence to our dearly beloved Śrīla Prabhupāda.
On this most auspicious occasion of your Śrī Vyāsa Pūjā, I fall at your feet begging for your merciful association, chastisement and blessings.
Your fallen and wretched servant,
Sākhyarasa Prema Dāsa.
