Vyāsa-pūjā 2022

Ramya Vṛndāvana devī dāsī (Vrindavan - India)

My dearest father, Guru Mahārāja,

Please accept my heartfelt and respectful obeisances. All glories to our saviour Śrīla Prabhupāda. All glories to your divine grace.

Thank you for giving me an opportunity to glorify you as a drop of reciprocation for the ocean of mercy and love that you keep showering upon me. Undeservingly I have found you in this life and out of your causeless mercy, you have come to purify this impudent and rebellious soul.

Glories glories to my spiritual father! How is it possible to glorify someone who is exuding Vaiṣṇava qualities incessantly and more in all situations? You touch the hearts of thousands simply by your compassion and love. Every health crisis for you is an opportunity to reach out to densely ignorant doctors, nurses, other health staff and so on to somehow connect them to the lotus feet of Kṛṣṇa. And these are nothing but the occasions when you engage your mūḍhā disciples like me in your service. We may flap or jump in anxiety during those phases but you are unperturbed like still water. The best part is somehow by direct intervention of Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva and Śrīla Prabhupāda, you come out of those critical phases like padma-patram ivāmbhasā. Nothing can ever pull you down. Your victory flag always leaves the world wonderstruck.

Your pastimes in the hospitals and other times are like oasis in our desert-like heart. In Bhagavad-gītā Kṛṣṇa gives 3 reasons for His advent but the actual internal reason is He advents to give pleasure to His devotees with His pastimes of loving exchanges. Likewise, you manifest those pastimes to inspire us to become a more serious devotees, those pastimes give us the impetus to live and progress on the path of spirituality. Your determination to function as one of the dearest disciples of Śrīla Prabhupāda inspires me to become a committed disciple. Unfortunately, I am still the most useless disciple.

Just to complete the incomplete aspects of Śrīla Prabhupāda and Lord Caitanya’s mission you are fighting with all the health hazards. Till the time TOVP is inaugurated and settled, you will not rest in peace. You wish to materialize the dream of Śrīla Bhakti Vinoda Ṭhākura and Śrīla Prabhupāda and the prophecy that there would be a wonderful temple where people from all around the world will come to chant and dance. How intensely you must be pleasing our previous ācāryas by investing your life and soul in their services!

A goṣṭyānandi is a bhajanānandi first. Unless one is fixed up in his sādhana, one cannot instil the purity in the hearts of others. In other words, unless one makes one’s janma sārthaka, one cannot do para-upakāra. Although you are a nitya siddha pārśada of Lord Caitanya, you are setting an impeccable example of a sādhaka in front of us by your uninterrupted sādhana, no matter what; thus establishing the principle of yad yad ācarati śreṣṭhas, tad tad evetaro janaḥ. All glories to your perfect leadership!!

It is unfortunate that despite this, there are many disciples who break 4 regulative principles and fail to chant 16 rounds daily after initiation and you take the brunt of their misdeeds. But merciful as you are, you suffer silently without punishing your children. In this way you are shouldering so much of burden of Mother Earth. It brings tears to my eyes to see you go through the pain and sufferings but indeed it only enhances your glories manifold in my heart.

The whole awestruck world is singing your glories as you have set a unique example of an unstoppable fighter!! It makes me jubilant to sing eve yas ghusuk tribhuvane…. I am sure it is already happening beyond our ability to perceive.

On this auspicious day of your divine appearance, I humbly pray to Śrī Śrī Pañca Tattva, Śrī Śrī Rādhā Mādhava Aṣṭa Sakhī vṛnda, Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva and Śrīla Prabhupāda that They continue to keep you protected in Their loving embrace, as always.

All glories to your appearance day, dear Śrīla Guru Mahārāja!!

Your lowly spiritual daughter,

Ramya Vṛndāvana devī dāsī.
