Dear GuruMaharaj,
Please accept my humble obeisance and All glories to Srila Prabhupada. Once a devotee had asked Srila Prabhupada “What good fortune must we have had to hear the names of Lord Krsna and associate with you Srila Prabhupada”, Prabhupada after thinking for a while, pointed his cane at the devotee and replied “We are your good fortune”. In this way I realized that I do not have any good qualities or luck, but simply because of your causeless, boundless mercy you have taken the effort to engage me in your service and at all points have kept me in Krsna Consciousness.
Gurumaharaj, in looking back, I have just begun to realize how in every step and stage of my life you have personally been present and guided me and blessed me to be attached in service of Srila Prabhupada and have somehow made sure that I am irrevocably bound to the Hare Krsna movement by being attached to your lotus feet. There are times when I was spaced out in Krsna Consciousness and not sincere in my service but just at the right time I would feel your presence and instruction that will pull me back and wake me up again. From my anna prashan ceremony until my engagement, I don’t remember a single major life event where you weren’t present and by some arrangement it will always happen that you are present just at the right moment and guide me in staying focused on Krsna Consciousness.
If I am able to do anything today materially or spiritually in my life it is all because of your mercy. I realize that I have been born in a Krsna Conscious family who from my grandparents on, are all your disciples and have been rendering important services to spread the movement of Lord Caitanya. Thus I am obliged and indebted to you to use everything that I have, my mind, body and soul in your service to spread the message of Prabhupada all over. My only desire is to attempt to repay you in a any way possible by rendering service to you and dedicating my life to your mission. Even for that I would require your blessings.
This year, on the auspicious occasion of your Vyasa Puja ceremony, I humbly beg you, dear Gurumaharaj, to accept me as your disciple and further enable me in serving my siksa Gurus, You and Srila Prabupada in Lord Caitanyas message and give me an opportunity to take part in these extended pastimes.
Your Insignificant Servant,
Bhakta Pundarika
