To My Dear Guru Mahārāja
Please accept my respectful obeisances at your lotus feet.
All Glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda
All Glories to You!
All Glories to your very auspicious appearance day. I feel immensely fortunate to be your dīkṣā disciple and very thankful to have you as my spiritual master. There are many qualities that I could expound on, but I’ve chosen to go into more detail with three of them.
1.You are always thinking of Kṛṣṇa. I’ve noticed that no matter where you are or what time of day it is, you constantly have Kṛṣṇa/Lord Caitanya on your mind. Whether it’s through your chanting, your kīrtanas, your classes or even talking to devotees. Every second of every day I see how you dovetail everything that you are saying directly into Lord Caitanya’s mission. A prime example was when we were in the car accident in Ghana. You had no fear, and instead had remained fixed the whole time in the thought of Lord Caitanya.
2. You are always utilizing everything for Kṛṣṇa. You are the epitome of yukta-vairagya. You have always found the ability to turn any and everything into something Kṛṣṇa conscious. Making the mundane, fully transcendental. There are innumerable times I’ve seen this happen. A prime example was when I had told you a joke that my sister had shared with me, and you found a way to work it straight into your lecture on the importance of realizing that death can come at any time and that we should not delay any further in taking our Kṛṣṇa consciousness seriously. In another instance, I remember Ekanātha Gaura prabhu telling me about a time when they had gone sand-duning and had invited you but you had refused saying that you can’t find any way to connect it back to Kṛṣṇa. Ekanātha Gaura prabhu had proceeded to tell us that you can see immediately that Guru Mahārāja won’t do anything unless it’s for Kṛṣṇa.
3. You are always completely self-sacrificing when it comes to the love of your disciples, Śrīla Prabhupāda and Lord Chaitanya. Your service to Śrīla Prabhupāda is unparalleled. No matter what hardship you face or setback that comes in your way - I have not only seen you persevere but also go through severe austerities to make sure that Śrīla Prabhupāda’s and Lord Caitanya’s mission continues. I’ve seen this personally with your disciples. When you travel you face extremely difficult circumstances, putting your body through great difficulties to make sure that your disciples stay empowered around the globe to continue to preach and serve Śrīla Prabhupāda. This is the sign of a devotee purely fixed in Śrīla Prabhupāda’s service.
I pray that you are always cent per cent fully engaged in the service of Lord Caitanya and that your strength and health build day by day.
Your humble and unworthy servant/son
