Respected beloved Guru Mahārāja,
Please accept my humble obeisances.
All glories to You.
All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda and Lord Śrī Gaura-Nitāi.
As a small tortoise of a small pond cannot lift the Himalaya Mountain, a blind man cannot describe the beauty of a full moon, a fool cannot describe the glory of a great saint, similarly I am an unworthy insignificant fool unable to glorify you. But you are the perfect representative of Lord Śrī Nityānanda giving causeless mercy and divine shelter of your lotus feet to a fallen soul like me.
Although I am like an elephant who rolls in the sands after bath, a fly who always sits in the stool even in a fragrant garden, a camel who eats thorns only, still you are so kind that you have given me the shelter of Lord Nitāi-Gaurāṇga, the medicine of Holy Name, the entrance in the Holy dhāma, the sweetness of Holy scriptures, the divine association of Lord's dear devotees and the Lord Himself in deity form.
I am drying in the desert, burning in the forest fire, tossing in the ocean of material existence, please keep me at your soothing lotus feet.
On this auspicious occasion, I beg forgiveness for all my offenses and mistakes and seek your mercy strength so that I can fight with māyā and serve you and Vaiṣṇavas more intensely in future.
Your insignificant servant,
Murtimān Mādhava Dāsa
