Vyāsa-pūjā 2023

Madhu Gopāla Dāsa ( - Belgium)

Dear Jayapatākā Swami,

Please accept my humble obeisances, all glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.

nama oṁ viṣṇu-pādāya kṛṣṇa-preṣṭhāya bhū-tale
śrīmate jayapatāka svāmin iti nāmine
nama ācaryapādāya nitāi-kṛpā-pradāyine

nama oṁ viṣṇu-pādāya kṛṣṇa-preṣṭhāya bhū-tale
śrīmate bhaktivedānta-svāminn iti nāmine
namas te sārasvate deve gaura-vāṇī-pracāriṇe
nirviśeṣa-śūnyavādi-pāścātya-deśa-tāriṇe

I would like to sincerely express my gratitude for accepting me as your disciple.

In the many years that I was fortunate to be your second initiate disciple, I experienced your sincere dedication to following Śrīla Prabhupāda and the ācāryas instructions and desires.

This is not only culminating in your sincere and determined desire to build the Temple of Vedic Understanding, but also in always explaining and following the Śāstric conclusions (bhakti siddhānta).

It is said in Śrīla Prabhupāda’s purport to the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam, Canto 4, The Creation of the Fourth Order, chapter 28, Purañjana Becomes a Woman in the Next Life, text 48, The main business of human society is to think of the Supreme Personality of Godhead at all times, to become His devotees, to worship the Supreme Lord and to bow down before Him. The ācārya, the authorized representative of the Supreme Lord, establishes these principles, but when he disappears, things once again become disordered. The perfect disciples of the ācārya try to relieve the situation by sincerely following the instructions of the spiritual master.

The last sentence, The perfect disciples of the ācārya try to relieve the situation by sincerely following the instructions of the spiritual master is in my humble opinion, epitomized by you as long as I have known you throughout my life in the International Society of Kṛṣṇa Consciousness.

I continue to pray for your blessings and keep hoping against hope, that one day I may also become a strict follower, and inspiration to so many souls, like you.

Last but not least, I would also like to thank you for preserving so many holy places in and around ISKCON Māyāpur and always making an effort to maintain good relations with so many Vaiṣṇavas throughout the region.

Your servant,
Madhu Gopāla Dāsa
