Hare Kṛṣṇa Guru Mahārāja, Please accept my respectful obeisances at your lotus feet.
All Glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda and you.
Dearest Gurudeva, On the auspicious occasion of your appearance day, I feel immensely blessed to have this opportunity to express my heartfelt gratitude and love towards you. Your presence in my life has been like the gentle yet potent touch of the spring sun, nurturing the seeds of devotion sown in the fertile grounds of my heart. I have penned down a poem as a humble offering to you. This poem is an expression of my gratitude, admiration, and the profound impact you have had on my spiritual journey.
Here is my offering:-
One might fathom the depths where oceans roar,
But your mercy's depth, Dearest Gurudeva, is so much more.
For every fallen soul adrift in night's despair,
Your heart holds a depth of compassion rare.
The ocean's measure may within bounds fall,
Yet your mercy, Gurudeva surpasses all.
To serve your spiritual master, a vow so profound,
In your heart's vast sky, it knows no bound.
Not even the cosmos, with all its endless space,
Can match the dedication in your embrace.
Challenges faced, yet your faith stands tall,
In your presence, despair turns to hope for all.
Through oceans of turmoil, in the darkest of night,
You traverse the globe, spreading Kṛṣṇa's sacred light.
For I possess no qualities, no virtues to my name,
Yet, may service at your lotus feet ignite an eternal flame.
For I am naught but a vessel, cracked and worn,
By worldly tempests, battered and torn.
Yet, you see beyond my flaws, my sin,
In your boundless love, healing begins
Through countless lifetimes, let this yearning not part,
May devotion to you forever burn bright in my heart.
So, here I stand, my heart in offering,
A daughter's plea for your compassion.
Eternally yours,
Your spiritual Daughter,
Hariṇī Yoginī devī dāsī
