Hare Kṛṣṇa, my dear Guru Mahārāja!
Please, accept my humble obeisances at Your lotus feet.
All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda! All glories to you! All glories to all the vaiṣṇavas!
My sincere prayers to Śrī Śrrī Gaura Nitāi to give you immense strength and power to preach and deliver many, many ignorant souls like me, by giving Kṛṣṇa consciousness.
Your grace kindly gave me initiation in 2014 with a spiritual name – Bṛhat Gaura Hari Dāsa. I did not quite understand the meaning of the name, later I got to know Bṛhat means Big or Great. For a while I was even proud of the name and started thinking big, without even understanding - you wanted me to be the biggest servant of Gaurāṅga. It was with such an ignorance I have started my spiritual journey.
I was recently watching your class on devotee care for ILS meeting. You gave the class online from Chennai, where you were clearly very weak and pushing yourself to even talk. Though you spoke only for a few minutes, the very few minutes were very touching and showing your mood for preaching and compassion. Only over the last couple of years I was able to somewhat understand your mood of preaching and your love for your disciples. I beg your mercy to understand this and follow your instructions for the rest of my life.
I only have a few offerings to report this year. By your mercy your disciple and my wife, Utkarṣiṇī Sīmantinī Devī Dāsī started 2 Bhakti-vṛkṣa classes this year. Though we have only 4 devotees attending the program so far, they are progressing very well and they have a strong desire to get initiated soon. She is also teaching children at our local ISKCON temple. I am also actively taking part in “Food for Life” program over the last 12 months where we distribute about 65 plates of prasāda on the first Saturday of every month and harināma on the 2nd and the 4th Saturdays.
On this auspicious occasion of your 69th Vyāsa-pūjā, I only beg you to shower your mercy, so we could fulfill your desires and take your instructions to our heart and act in such a way that we will continue to be the recipients of the causeless mercy of Lord Gaurāṅga that flows through you unlimitedly.
Your humble servant,
Bṛhat Gaurahari Dāsa (dīkṣā disciple)
