Gurudeva, having had the opportunity to hear about your glories from some of your sincere and dedicated disciples and hearing their realization about your glories, we could not even comprehend your greatness. You have been an epitome of mercy, for you have accepted us as your disciples. How fortunate are we that we have been blessed by having you as our spiritual father, in spite of us not even having an iota of qualities that the śāstra enjoins for a disciple to possess. As much as being emphasized by Rūpa Gosvāmī in Bhakti-Rasāmṛta-sindhu that 'one who observes discipline, he is called disciple', we definitely have a long way to go to even call ourselves your disciple. Added to that, we now have huge responsibility of bring up our daughter Khishori, who is now 1 year and 8 month old, in a nice Kṛṣṇa conscious environment.
On this auspicious occasion of your 69th vyāsa-pūjā, we seek your blessings, so that we may become useful in assisting you in your mission of serving Śrīla Prabhupāda, the promise that we made during initiation but were never able to do proper justice all these years.
Your useless spiritual children,
Gaurāṅga Prasada Dasa and Śrīguru Sevanandi Devī Dāsī (Dīkṣā), Bangalore, India
