Dear Guru Mahārāja and our beloved spiritual father,
Daṇḍavat Praṇāmas! Please accept our humble obeisance unto your lotus feet All glories to Guru Mahārāja. All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda! All glories to Śrī Guru and Śrī Gaurāṅga
Hare Kṛṣṇa, O dear father and spiritual master, it is really beyond our ability and comprehension to write and glorify you, so kindly bestow your causeless mercy so that we can write something to glorify you and purify ourselves.
Guru Mahārāja – Unstoppable and outstanding display of commitment to serve Śrīla Prabhupāda:
Nothing, absolutely nothing, be it any adverse health condition or specific contrary advice from a doctor or anxious requests from the serving disciples, can prevent You - Guru Mahārāja from the preaching activities or fulfilling other timely obligations. Absolutely no compromise in fulfilling the instructions of Śrīla Prabhupāda. An emphatic practical display of unwavering commitment to serve Śrīla Prabhupāda in all respects and during all circumstances.
Guru Mahārāja once said: “The Preaching is my resting-time. ”
I was going through one article written as biography of Your Highness. Some portions of the articles are really astounding as it highlights Śrīla Prabhupāda’s special mercy and faith in Your service attitude and commitments:
Śrīla Prabhupāda once called Your Highness and other sannyāsa disciples into his room and mentioned that “He was passing on his own curse of constant travel (received from some of the parents of his own disciples) to his all sannyāsa disciples. Though there were other sannyāsīs as well in the room, but at that time He (Śrīla Prabhupāda) was looking at You - Guru Mahārāja. You accepted this curse from Śrīla Prabhupāda as a personal instruction and blessing from the Lord to give You the strength to always travel and preach everywhere.
Your Highness have since maintained this and even ventured in places like Eastern Europe, Russia, and places where it is quite difficult to preach due to governmental and political restrictions. Due to Your extreme busy schedule and very less sleep, when once you were asked by Your disciples to please take some more rest and take care of your health, You had then replied: “Preaching is my resting-time. ” This is your eagerness to shower mercy on disciples and people in general all the time.
Regular Study of Scriptures and Advanced Level of Bhakti-vedānta courses:
Guru Mahārāja, You have practically shown that regular study of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam is very important. It is really inspiring for all of the disciples to learn that you, after having completed Bhakti-vaibhava course, are now studying for Bhakti-vedānta course as well.
We feel completely blessed and fortunate that you have so mercifully accepted us as your disciples. We can only pray for your continued well-being and mercy for giving us an opportunity to serve Your Holiness in whatever way possible.
Also, the details of specific sevā being carried out by us, is being mentioned below, for Your Highness’ pleasure:
1. Conducting weekly Śrīmad Bhagavad-gītā offline classes every Friday in our Residential Building complex and Online Zoom classes every Saturday.
2. Holding monthly Gurugram JSSS meeting, usually on the last Sunday of every month at our residence.
3. Holding a “Special Japa Stall” during Janmāṣṭamī celebrations at ISKCON Gurugram Temple, where the new visitors are encouraged to sit and chant one round of “Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra” on beads. During the Janmāṣṭamī festival of the year 2023, A total of more than 1000 visitors chanted one round of Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra on beads. Also, approximately 700 beads with bead-bags were gifted to them so that they feel encouraged to continue this practice of regular chanting in their daily lives.
4. Regular Preaching Sevā for Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam classes / Sunday Love Feast classes as allocated by both ISKCON Gurugram Temples.
5. 56 – Bhoga preparation sevā on festivals and visiting sannyāsīs’ sevā as allocated by ISKCON Badshahpur Temple Gurugram.
6. Continuing now the study for Bhakti-vaibhava course.
Submitted unto the lotus feet of Guru Mahārāja, Your Holiness Śrīla Jayapatākā Swami Guru Mahārāja.
