My dear Spiritual Father,
Dear Guru Mahārāja,
Please accept my respectful obeisances. All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.
Thank You dear Guru Maharajah for always leading me and protecting me, on my spiritual path.
I remember when I stepped into Govindas Boutique in Stockholm, I saw a book with the photo of Śrīla Prabhupāda, and it was like He gave me a warm welcoming hug.
I started to go to the ISKCON temple, only to participate in kīrtana and Harināma. I had already another guru, not from ISKCON, so I never thought that it would lead to anything more than that. Until the day I stepped into the temple and sat down on the floor, just to see You there, showing photos of Śrīdhāma Māyāpur. I felt waves of sweet love from Your heart to mine. I was amazed, to meet a guru like Yourself.
In the end of the class, You asked; "Who wants to speak with me after the class?" I quickly raised my hand. We were talking by a table in the Govindas restaurant. I could not remember the color of Your eyes afterwards, only the mercy flowing towards me. I wanted to have instructions from You. You told me to chant eight or sixteen rounds, read Bhagavad-gītā, and come to Māyāpur.
And this is how You captured me, this insignificant daughter of Yours. And this is what You do to so many souls daily. You attract us, just like the bumble bees are drawn to the sweet honey. We cannot think about anything else, after getting in contact with Your nectarlike presence.
I want to thank You from the bottom of my heart, for accepting me as Your disciple. We can never fathom the amount of causeless mercy, that allowed us to meet a pure devotee like Yourself, dear Guru Mahārāja.
Your spiritual daughter,
Mallikā Mādhavī devī dāsī
