Vyāsa-pūjā 2025

Tithimita Chatterjee (Bhubaneswar - India)

Dear Guru Mahārāja,

All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda, all glories to you, my most beloved and glorious spiritual master, and all glories to all the Vaiṣṇavas.

The combination of all 26 alphabets will fall short if I were to describe your glories. I have no qualification, no service attitude, no love or compassion in my heart—yet by your never-ending mercy, you always keep me close to you, always protecting me from this blazing fire of material existence.

Whenever you shout “Gaurāṅga! Gaurāṅga!” in ecstasy, it feels as though Mahāprabhu Himself is dancing with joy because His most confidential and beloved servant is calling out to Him. In that moment, it seems as though the world around me stops.

You are my ultimate benefactor, my protector, my father. In times when I had found no refuge, you protected me just like a mother protects her child. I never had the qualification to even know about you, to even stand within a radius of 100 kilometers from you, but your eternal mercy always draws my steps closer to you.

My father, my beloved master—what will this jīva do without you?

Even during a small fever, my interest in executing devotional service drops to nil. But you, my Lord—with so many obstacles that could drive any man to madness—continue to execute devotional service as if it is simply breathing for you. What a wonderful associate of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu you are! Just like Bhīṣma-deva, you are holding on to this material body to deliver miscreants like myself.

Every time I hear Yadi Prabhupāda na hoito, I start tearing up. Indeed, your dedication to your beloved spiritual master and your aspiration to serve his mission with utmost devotion makes me wonder how much love you hold in your king-sized heart for him.

You have given me everything, yet I remain ungrateful. What a misery for me! Despite being in your shelter—in the shelter of the most glorious spiritual master—I have no dedication, no eagerness.

Please, dear Guru Mahārāja, bless me so that I may develop love and a service attitude toward you. I believe that in this life or the next, I will never have any shelter other than you.

Your sheltered spiritual daughter,
Tithimita Chatterjee
