Dear Guru Mahārāja,
Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.
On this most auspicious occasion of your Vyāsa-pūjā, I bow at your divine lotus feet in deep gratitude. You are a living example of unwavering dedication, compassion, and surrender to Śrīla Prabhupāda’s mission. Your life is an offering of love and sacrifice for the welfare of all conditioned souls, tirelessly spreading the glories of Lord Caitanya’s movement across the world. Despite facing severe health challenges, your determination to serve is unparalleled, and you continue to inspire and uplift millions. Guru Mahārāja, we are forever indebted to your divine mercy.
This year has been emotionally challenging for me, as I lost my dear father in October. However, I feel blessed that I was able to serve him until his last breath. The day before he departed, he told me that the Lord had opened His path for him and was calling him. His final words of gratitude and blessings for me gave me immense peace, reinforcing the importance of devotional service and surrender. I am happy that I was able to give him a good end with thoughts of the Lord, Ganga water, and Tulasi water at the moment of his passing. This has further strengthened my conviction that preparing for a Kṛṣṇa-conscious departure is the greatest responsibility we have for our loved ones.
I also have the responsibility of caring for my father-in-law and mother-in-law, who are now 87 and 84 years old. Not all days are the same—some days they are stable, while on other days, health challenges arise. I am trying my best to ensure that they, too, can have a good end with spiritual thoughts, just as my father did. Guru Mahārāja, please guide and bless me so that I may fulfill these responsibilities with sincerity, patience, and devotion.
At the same time, I deeply desire to support my husband, Śrīraṅga Kṛṣṇa Prabhu, in his dedicated service as yātrā sevaka of Gaurāṅgadeśa Yātrā in Dubai. He is striving to serve the devotees with sincerity, and I wish to assist him in whatever way I can, so that together we may offer some meaningful service at your lotus feet.
Additionally, I have recently started a youth class in Mysore, along with the support of my son, Tejo Kṛṣṇa, hoping to engage young minds in Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Though only a few children have joined, and their attendance has not been regular, I have faith that, with time, this endeavor will bear wonderful spiritual fruits. Guru Mahārāja, please guide me on how to nurture this service so that more young souls can take shelter of Kṛṣṇa and grow in their spiritual journey.
By your mercy, my elder son, Tejo Kṛṣṇa, is under your shelter and now preparing for his initiation. He is very eager to take dīkṣā from you, hopefully during Nṛsiṁha Caturdaśī. Please bless him and kindly give him initiation. Also, please guide him so that he can balance his spiritual journey alongside his higher education and job, which he recently joined.
My younger son, Lokanātha Nārāyaṇan, is currently writing his 10th board exams. Please pray for him and bless him so that he performs well and, more importantly, grows steadily in his spiritual life. Please bless him so that he can cultivate strong Kṛṣṇa-conscious habits and always remain under your shelter.
Hearing about your suffering due to health issues is unbearable, Guru Mahārāja. Every day, tears roll down my eyes as I feel helpless, unable to do anything to ease your pain. If only I could take your suffering upon myself so that you could continue your divine mission of uplifting countless souls—that would be my greatest fortune. My only prayer is that you remain with us for many more years, continuing to guide us on this beautiful path of devotion.
Thank you for your endless mercy, Guru Mahārāja. Please bless me so that I can always remain engaged in your service.
Your loving daughter,
Gopīgāna Gītā Devī Dāsī
