Hare Kṛṣṇa, Dear Gurudeva,
Please accept our most humble obeisances unto the dust of your divine lotus feet.
All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.
All glories to Your Holiness.
All glories to your most auspicious appearance day.
In 2023, Your Holiness inaugurated our new temple of Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Vinodajī, Śrī Śrī Jagannātha, Baladeva and Subhadrā Devī, and Śrī Śrī Nityānanda Nāṭavara and Gaurasundara. We would like to recollect a few cherished instances from that most memorable occasion.
While announcing the Deities’ names, you called out a different name. The entire installation group of devotees was wonderstruck—until you smiled and said that you were checking if they were alert! The whole temple hall was filled with laughter. Just by your presence, the entire atmosphere became vibrant and blissful.
You had to come to the main temple hall several times to participate in the yajña. Many devotees in the hall were trying to touch your lotus feet and receive your blessings. You were gently instructing your personal servants to be careful not to step on any devotee. On one such occasion, when you were about to enter the temple hall, your shoes were still on. You immediately stopped your wheelchair and indicated to the devotees to remove them. Despite so many devotees surrounding you, you were conscious of every detail. This level of attentiveness, humility, and discipline deeply touched all our hearts.
Even on the day of the inauguration, your blood pressure was low. And on another occasion, during a children’s drama performance, your blood pressure again dropped. Yet, despite such physical challenges, you lovingly chose to be with the devotees, stretching yourself just to participate and uplift everyone with your presence. It is truly difficult to comprehend how deeply you extend yourself to serve this wonderful mission—it is a direct manifestation of your deep love and affection for Śrīla Prabhupāda.
On this auspicious occasion of your Vyāsa-pūjā, we pray to Their Lordships for your continued good health and strength. Please kindly forgive us for any offenses committed at your lotus feet, knowingly or unknowingly.
Myself and my good wife, Suvarṇa Vihār Līlā Devī Dāsī, are rendering service in the Deity Department, and we seek your blessings to improve and sustain our service for the pleasure of Hari, Guru, and the Vaiṣṇavas. We also seek your kind blessings for our children, Gaurāṅga and Raṅgarūpa.
Your spiritual son and daughter,
Viśvapati Kṛṣṇa Dāsa
