Vyāsa-pūjā 2025

Anantarūpa Caitanya Dāsa (Kolkata - India)

Hare Kṛṣṇa, Guru Mahārāja.
Please accept my humble obeisances unto your lotus feet.

All glories to Guru and Gaurāṅga!
All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda!
All glories to my beloved Guru Mahārāja!

Once, Śrīmān Nityānanda Prabhu waved His flag across Bengal, signifying His triumphant conquest of the hearts of the Bengalis through His ecstatic nartana-kīrtana and the distribution of Kṛṣṇa-prema.

Although we were not fortunate enough to witness those transcendental pastimes, we are immensely blessed to be witnessing the glorious pastimes of His servant—or rather, His eternal associate—who is similarly carrying forward the Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement, especially in those parts of Bhārata where Śrī Śrī Gaura-Nitāi performed Their transcendental līlās.

I feel truly blessed to have such a personality as my spiritual master.

O Gurudeva, last year during the Kolkata Ratha-yātrā, you very mercifully gave me harināma-dīkṣā. I wondered how I received initiation so quickly when there are so many sincere and senior devotees in the temple. Then I realized, as Śrīla Narottama dāsa Ṭhākura has said:

patita-pāvana-hetu tava avatāra
mo sama patita prabhu nā pāibe āra

Since I am the most fallen among all, you chose to deliver me first. All glories to you.

I also heard—if I am not wrong—that the night before the initiation ceremony, you were admitted to the hospital and had undergone dialysis, yet you came the next morning to give us initiation. We can’t even imagine how you manage to do all these things, Guru Mahārāja. This shows us how much you love your sons and daughters.

Please bless me so that I may forever remain engaged in this mission and become free from all useless material desires, gradually developing gaura-prema.

I sincerely pray to Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Govinda, Śrīmān Gaura Naṭarāja, and Śrī Śrī Jagannātha, Baladeva, Subhadrā Mā to keep you well, so that you may continue delivering fallen souls like me and assist Śrīla Prabhupāda in fulfilling the mission of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu.

We are always anxious to hear you roaring—“Gooouuurangaaaaaaaa!”

Your insignificant son,
Anantarūpa Caitanya Dāsa
