Vyāsa-pūjā 2025

Muthulakshmi Avudaiappan (Balarāma Deśa - Middle East)

Dear Guru Mahārāja,

All glories to Śrī Guru and Gaurāṅga.
All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.
All glories to Śrīla Jayapatākā Swami.

Please accept my humble obeisances.

nama oṁ viṣṇu-pādāya kṛṣṇa-preṣṭhāya bhūtale
śrīmate jayapatākā-svāmin iti nāmine
namo ācāryapādāya nitāi-kṛpa-pradāyine
gaura-kathā dhāma dāya nagara-grāma tāriṇe

On this most auspicious occasion of your Vyāsa-pūjā, I offer my humble homage at your lotus feet. Though I am unqualified in many ways, I feel immensely fortunate to be under your divine shelter. Your unwavering spiritual strength continues to inspire and encourage me to serve in whatever small capacity I can.

Over the past couple of years, I have experienced many moments that have given me a renewed enthusiasm to serve you. Last year, in July, I was blessed to receive your darśana in Śrī Māyāpur Dhām after many years. Hearing directly from you in person, I strongly felt your utmost dedication to Śrīla Prabhupāda’s mission. No obstacle can hinder your service as you tirelessly uplift fallen souls like myself from the miserable condition of material existence.

Additionally, in recent years, I have been fortunate to associate with some of your wonderful disciples at both the London temple and Bhaktivedanta Manor. Through my conversations with them, I witnessed their deep-rooted love and commitment to serving your instructions. Their exemplary dedication allowed me to practically realize the essence of ‘dāsa-dāsa-anudāsa’ as I was greatly inspired by them all.

This year began with the glorious blessings of Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Londonīśvara. Dancing and singing Harināma with all my heart alongside devotees from around the world, in the packed streets of London, was a deeply moving experience. Seeing people from all walks of life joyfully join in the chanting reinforced my realization that the holy name attracts all, regardless of their background, and even a momentary connection with Kṛṣṇa consciousness can purify their hearts. Your repeated emphasis on the loud chanting of the holy name and its immeasurable benefit to all living entities became even clearer to me in that moment.

Just like the squirrel in Rāma-līlā, who contributed tiny pebbles to build the bridge and served with all its ability, I too have been trying to serve in my own small way, through preaching and kīrtana at my university. However, I often feel a lack of confidence in my preaching efforts. Therefore, I humbly beg for your mercy so that I may develop more conviction and sincerity in spreading the glories of the holy name.

Recently, my parents and I relocated from Kṛṣṇa Kathā Deśa to Balarāmadeśa. I pray for your blessings to continue my services here with even greater love and dedication. Please bless me to always remain in the association of devotees and to be ever inspired in Kṛṣṇa consciousness.

On this special day, I pray to Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Mādhava and Aṣṭa-sakhīs, Śrī Śrī Pañca-tattva, and Śrī Nṛsiṁhadeva to give you improved health and strength and to serve you, both in person and by sincerely following your instructions.

Your insignificant servant,
Muthulakṣmī Avudaiappan (aspiring disciple)
