Hare Kṛṣṇa, my dear spiritual father,
Please accept my respectful humble obeisances!
All glories to Guru and Gaurāṅga!
All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda!
All glories to you on your 76th appearance day!
I seek blessings from you on this very auspicious 76th appearance day!
I am ever indebted to your incessant flow of mercy upon me and my family, because of which we are able to sustain the material disturbances. It is mentioned again and again in the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta and other scriptures how important it is to have the association of a sādhu.
When we are in Māyāpur, we always take the opportunity to attend your rooftop lectures live. You are the best example of a sādhu, so I have used the acronym SĀDHU to describe your unlimited qualities:
S – Selfless
Dear Guru Mahārāja, here in this world everyone thinks only about themselves and always wants something in return. Whereas you selflessly think about everyone—about how to connect them to Kṛṣṇa. Your mercy flows to each and every one without any barriers—not only toward the educated, but the illiterate as well. Now that for initiation one needs to have a Bhakti-śāstrī degree, you mentioned that oral exams can be taken for those who are illiterate. You also suggested that audiobooks can be devised for them. In this way, you are selflessly distributing the holy name to all.
Ā – Active
Dear Gurudeva, I have yet to see a more active person than you. In spite of your dialysis schedule, you never miss darśana of the Deities, nor any of the meetings. You also give your regular classes in the evening on Caitanya-śikṣāmṛta. Above all this, your sādhana chart is up to date. You also address the needs of devotees both in person and through email.
Your activities throughout the day are endless, despite your health limitations.
D – Determined
Dear spiritual father, your determination to serve Śrīla Prabhupāda is inspiring to me. Twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, you are always thinking of how to please your spiritual master and your godbrothers. Please bless me to have this same mood of determination to serve.
H – Heroic
Dear Gurumahārāja, your acts of heroism are countless. In the early days, you fought the dacoits to protect Śrīdhāma Māyāpur, and even now, your fighting spirit continues. You are battling and overcoming whatever obstacles come in the path of your service. Your “never give up” attitude is truly commendable.
U – Unique
Dearest spiritual father, you are unique in every way I can think of. Your ways of dealing with your spiritual children are so loving—you make us feel at home. Whenever we meet you, you ask, “Are you comfortable in Māyāpur?” “How can I serve you?” is your question, which I find so unique and touching.
In class, you always make sure there are translators for every language to cater to all listeners—this is unique.
Even when I travel with all comforts, I complain. But you travel the world without complaint or disturbance from jet lag. You remain fresh to give a roaring class—which I find absolutely unique.
Always praying to Śrī Narasiṁhadeva for your good health and long life!
Please continue to bless us and keep us always under your protective shelter.
Your ever-indebted spiritual daughter,
Bhuvanapujitā Rādhikā devī dāsī
