Dearest Guru Mahārāja,
Please accept my respectful obeisances!
All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda!
All glories unto your service to Śrīla Prabhupāda!
Gurudeva, wishing you a very Happy Vyāsa-pūjā, and I pray that we may have your divine association for many more years to come.
It is said in Śrī Caitanya-caritāmṛta:
'brahmāṇḍa bhramite kona bhāgyavān jīva guru-kṛṣṇa-prasāde pāya bhakti-latā-bīja'
I feel very fortunate and grateful to have received the shelter of your lotus feet, Guru Mahārāja, and I wonder if I will ever be able to repay my debt to you.
I thank you from the core of my heart for accepting me, for giving me the holy name, and for engaging me in various services.
You are an ocean of all divine qualities, and among the many qualities that you possess, I wish to meditate upon two qualities of yours that inspire me the most: that a devotee is ‘peaceful’ and has ‘complete attachment to Kṛṣṇa.’
It is mentioned in Bhagavad-gītā that there can be no happiness without peace, and only a devotee of Lord Kṛṣṇa can be truly peaceful.
You have undergone so many trials and tribulations on the bodily platform, and yet, whenever we meet you, you are always so peaceful and grave, spiritually surcharging and enthusing us. No calamity in this world can ever lower your spirit; instead, you uplift everyone’s consciousness in all circumstances. During the COVID pandemic, when the whole world was in lockdown and people were in anxiety, Your Holiness visited everyone’s home virtually, and our moroseness was mitigated simply by your darśana.
Your quality of being completely attached to Lord Kṛṣṇa is also evident. Whenever you get an opportunity, you always want to speak about Lord Gaurāṅga and His causeless mercy! It does not matter if you are physically drained or have had a completely hectic schedule—your day never ends without glorifying Lord Gaurāṅga. What greater fortune can there be than to hear Gaurā-kathā from your lotus mouth on the rooftop of the Lotus building in Śrīdhāma Māyāpur! We forget all miseries and experience bliss when we hear you ecstatically call out, 'Gaurāṅgā!' I wish I could attain even a drop of your attachment to Lord Gaurāṅga—my life would then be successful!
All glories to you, dearest Guru Mahārāja!
On this very special day of your appearance, I seek your causeless mercy and blessings so that I may continue on this beautiful path of bhakti, even life after life. I also seek your forgiveness for any offenses I may have committed knowingly or unknowingly against you or any other Vaiṣṇava.
Your spiritual daughter,
Mādhurī Mamatāmāyī Devī Dāsī
