All glories to Śrī Guru and Gaurāṅga!
All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda!
Happy 76th Vyāsa-pūjā, dear Guru Mahārāja!
I feel extremely grateful to you, Guru Mahārāja, for your mercy upon this most fallen soul. Whatever you have done for Śrīla Prabhupāda, no one else can do. Your dedication and determination in serving Śrīla Prabhupāda never waver, even in the face of the most challenging physical situations.
Your Holiness possesses unlimited transcendental qualities, and even with a thousand mouths, it would be impossible to fully describe your glories. As stated in Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (5.18.12), all the good qualities of the demigods—and the demigods themselves—reside in the body of one who has developed unalloyed devotional service to the Supreme Lord. You are the perfect example of this, Guru Mahārāja. You embody all the 26 qualities of a pure devotee. Your love and care for each and every individual are simply beyond imagination. You have achieved what is impossible for ordinary human beings. You are truly unstoppable.
Dear Guru Mahārāja, no one in the entire history of humanity has had, nor will have, as many disciples as you. When I think of this, I am reminded of Vāsudeva Datta, who was willing to accept the sins of the entire world for their deliverance.
Although I am unqualified, I wish to offer a humble poem in your glorification:
You spread the message of Lord Caitanya throughout the globe,
Holding the tri-daṇḍa and wearing saffron robe.
Your transcendental form shines like millions of illustrious suns,
Your words soothe the heart like the cooling moon.
Taking up the development of Māyāpur as your life’s mission,
Making into reality what Śrīla Prabhupāda envisioned.
You attract the masses with your wonderful classes,
Transforming their lives into grand successes.
Remaining in the renounced order of life for 54 years,
You relieve your disciples of their material fears.
Forming the Congregational Development Ministry,
You made a massive step in ISKCON’s history.
Seated as the lifetime chairman of the Bhaktivedānta Swami Charity Trust,
You ensure the development of holy places is a must.
Making the mercy of Lord Caitanya available to everyone,
You turn pilgrimages into transcendental fun.
Please let me remain as dust at your divine lotus feet,
Making my life blissful and complete.
Dear Guru Mahārāja, no one in the history of ISKCON has remained a sannyāsī for as long as you have. You are the life and soul of your disciples, who always hanker for your association.
Thank you for your boundless kindness, Guru Mahārāja, upon this fallen soul. I beg for your continued mercy so that I may be of some use in Śrīla Prabhupāda’s mission and assist you in fulfilling the instructions given to you by him.
Please bless me, Guru Mahārāja.
Hoping to remain your insignificant servant,
Śrīman Nandakumāra Dāsa
(Your dīkṣā disciple)
