Hare Kṛṣṇa!

Dear Śrīla Gurudeva,

Please accept my respectful obeisances.

All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda!
All glories to you, Śrīla Gurudeva!

On the auspicious occasion of your 76th Vyāsa-pūjā, we offer our heartfelt prayers to Their Lordships Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Gopīnātha, Jagannātha-Baladeva-Subhadrā, Gaura-Nitāi, and the Guru-paramparā to bless you with good health and strength so that you may continue to fulfill Śrīla Prabhupāda’s mission.

Śrīla Gurudeva, you are our greatest inspiration. Through your unwavering faith and devotion, you teach us how to remain strong in Kṛṣṇa consciousness despite any challenges. Your personal example of systematic study of śāstra has inspired me to restart my Bhakti-śāstrī course. I humbly seek your blessings so that I may study deeply and complete Bhakti-śāstrī with sincerity and dedication.

Among your many remarkable contributions to Śrīla Prabhupāda’s mission, the Dāmodara program has been particularly transformative in my spiritual journey. During the 2024 Dāmodara program, what began as a simple offering of lamps turned into a deeply personal learning experience. Lord Dāmodara revealed His pastimes in a way that touched my heart and refined my understanding of service. I realized how the Lord reciprocates personally, guides us at every step, hears and fulfills devotees’ wishes, and teaches us to serve with sincerity rather than mechanically. These lessons have left a lasting impact, and I pray to imbibe them more deeply.

Śrīla Gurudeva, your classes are vibrant and full of wisdom. I try my best to absorb your teachings and apply them, especially in my engagement with young children. It pushes me to read the śāstras more sincerely. For the past 1.5 years, we have been reading Kṛṣṇa’s pastimes with a group of children who are new to Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Recently, seeing their growing enthusiasm, we have begun teaching Bhagavad-gītā ślokas as well. About 10 to 12 children regularly attend, and while their curiosity is inspiring, they often ask challenging questions. In those moments, I instinctively turn to your lotus feet, seeking your guidance. I see myself as a mere instrument, while it is truly you who are teaching and preaching to these young minds through me.

Śrīla Gurudeva, I am still trying to understand how to fit more Kṛṣṇa-conscious activities into my daily life. Whenever I observe your routine, it seems as though your day stretches beyond 24 hours—you effortlessly fit in what feels like 48 hours of devotional service! Despite your intense schedule—chanting extra rounds, giving daily classes, attending meetings, maintaining your sādhana, traveling, and guiding your countless spiritual children across the world—you remain fully present in every moment of service.

Meanwhile, I struggle to manage my small family, work, and devotional services. At times, my chanting quality fluctuates, my reading and hearing for the week become minimal, and my enthusiasm wavers. I become inspired by your tireless dedication, yet I find it difficult to maintain consistency.

Śrīla Gurudeva, please bless me so that I may focus more on Kṛṣṇa consciousness and rise above material distractions. Somehow or other, māyā keeps pulling me down, but I pray for your mercy to overcome these struggles and become more steady in my spiritual practices.

Your deep faith in Śrīla Prabhupāda and Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Mādhava strengthens our own conviction and encourages us to continue on this beautiful path you have shown. We are eternally indebted to your mercy, Śrīla Gurudeva. Your divine presence and protection in our lives are both humbling and inspiring. I pray for your continued blessings as I strive to serve Śrīla Prabhupāda’s mission and share the glories of Lord Kṛṣṇa.

With your mercy, Śrīla Gurudeva, we humbly offer at your lotus feet the small services we are able to perform by your blessings:

  • Coordinating altar decorations for festivals at ISKCON Sydney temple.

  • Reading Kṛṣṇa’s pastimes and teaching Bhagavad-gītā ślokas to a group of 10-12 children.

  • Reading Śrīla Prabhupāda-līlāmṛta with Bhakti-vṛkṣa members, helping them appreciate Śrīla Prabhupāda’s struggles and sacrifices in giving us this spiritual treasure.

  • Dressing Lord Dāmodara weekly during the holy month of Kārtika at the temple.

These services bring immense joy, and though obstacles arise, by your mercy, they vanish like mist before the morning sun.

Śrīla Gurudeva, we pray for your blessings upon our family so that we may continue our services humbly, without offenses, and offer all results at your lotus feet.

Jaya Śrīla Gurudeva!

Your servant,
Vṛndāvana Pālinī Devī Dāsī
