Dharma Rakṣaka Vasudeva Dāsa ( - India)

Hare Kṛṣṇa
Daṇḍavat praṇāma
All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.
All glories to Śrīla Jayapatākā Swāmī.

Please accept my humble obeisances unto your lotus feet.

I do not have any qualification by which I can glorify a pure devotee like you. Please forgive this fallen soul.

Before joining ISKCON, I was unaware of Śrīla Prabhupāda and his lectures. His lectures are truly wonderful. But when I heard your transcendental lectures, they touched my heart and transformed it. I learned so many things from you.

Even though you are very ill, still you are tirelessly spreading the holy name of Lord Kṛṣṇa all over the world. I did not know you during my earlier years in ISKCON, but since I have heard and read about you, I have come to understand the importance of guru, and why having a guru is essential in one’s spiritual life.

Śrīla Prabhupāda called Guru Mahārāja the victory flag of Kṛṣṇa.

I am very thankful to you for accepting me as your disciple.
Please forgive me, as I have not been able to render sufficient Vaiṣṇava-sevā.

Guru Mahārāja, you gave me such a wonderful Vaiṣṇava name: Dharma Rakṣaka, which means “the protector of dharma.”
I make a solemn commitment to live up to this name, and practice it in my life, in order to help realize Śrīla Prabhupāda’s vision.

Hare Kṛṣṇa, Guru Mahārāja. Daṇḍavat praṇāma.

Your humble servant,
Dharma Rakṣaka Vāsudeva dāsa
