gurave gaura-candrāya rādhikāya tadalaye
kṛṣṇāya kṛṣṇa-bhaktāya tad-bhaktāya namo namaḥ
All glories to your auspicious Vyāsa-pūjā, Guru Mahārāja.
This day represents countless sacrifices, commitments, and exemplary services you have rendered to set a shining example for generations of devotees to follow.
You instruct us to read Śrīla Prabhupāda’s books, understand the philosophy, and preach the same. Therefore, it is our foremost duty to be sincere in implementing your instructions and to solidify our faith in them—this will ultimately lead us to kṛṣṇa-prema.
We can never truly understand the pain you endure; yet, despite all challenges, you remain blissful and transcendentally situated.
You continue to motivate all of us by your extraordinary examples—whether distributing books, giving classes, walking down the stairs when the elevator doesn’t work, or pursuing advanced spiritual degrees.
To that, Guru Mahārāja, I offer my repeated obeisances.
Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 11.20.17
nṛ-deham ādyaṁ...
Our human body is just like a good boat—with our human intelligence, we can cross the ocean of nescience, the ocean of repeated birth and death in this material world. And guru-karṇadhāram—we have a favorable wind, Kṛṣṇa's instructions in the Vedic literatures—plus we have a good captain, the bona fide spiritual master, who can guide us and enlighten us. With all these facilities, if we cannot cross the ocean of nescience, then we are simply cutting our own throats.
Therefore, may we gain the strength and determination to follow your instructions and become the devotees you wish us to become.
May we eternally reside at your lotus feet, serve the Vaiṣṇavas humbly, and find true joy in pleasing you.
