(Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 7.9.18)

O Kṛṣṇa, You are the protector of all beings, and Your devotees are always under Your care. O Nṛsiṁha, kindly protect Jayapatākā Svāmī Gurudeva’s health and grant him the physical strength to continue serving You and spreading Your glories. May his body and mind remain strong and free from all ailments so that he can continue his mission to serve Śrīla Prabhupāda, spreading Your holy name and teachings with vigor and enthusiasm. Guide him in every step, and may his heart remain fixed in Your loving service, bringing the light of Your divine knowledge to all souls. Protect him from all obstacles and empower him to fulfill his divine purpose on this Earth. May he remain dedicated, humble, and faithful to the mission of spreading Kṛṣṇa consciousness to the world.

Verses in Glorification of Guru

vande guru-padadvandvaṁ vāṅ-manāsa-gocharam
śveta-rakta-prabhābhinnaṁ śiva-śakty-ātmakaṁ param

(Verse 90)

I salute the duality of the guru’s feet, transcendental to speech and mind,
distinct from white and red radiance, supremely composed of Śiva and Śakti.

gukāraṁ ca guṇātītaṁ rukāraṁ rūpa-varjitam
guṇātītam arūpaṁ ca yo dadyāt sa guruḥ smṛtaḥ

(Verse 91)

“Gu” is beyond the modes; “ru” is without material form.
The one who bestows that transcendental form is truly the guru.

yajñino 'pi na muktāḥ syur na muktā yoginas tathā
tapasā api na muktā gurutattvāt paraṅmukhāḥ

(Skanda Purāṇa, Uttara-kāṇḍa, Umā-Maheśvara-saṁvāda, Verse 107)

Even those who perform yajña are not liberated, nor the yogīs or ascetics—
if they turn away from the principle of guru, they cannot attain liberation.

Divine Moments That Inspire Us

Dear Gurudeva, remembering stories from your life shared by your disciples continues to uplift us all:

  1. Śrīla Prabhupāda’s Reassurance:
During a difficult time, you had a vivid vision of Śrīla Prabhupāda, who said, “Do not be afraid. I am with you always, and Kṛṣṇa’s mercy will never leave you. Just continue to serve with love, and everything will be alright.”

  2. Coma Recovery in 2001:
When you fell seriously ill and entered a coma, devotees worldwide united in prayer. In that state, a disciple observed your body glowing with divine light and sensed Śrīla Prabhupāda’s presence. Upon praying, the disciple heard your faint whisper: “Don’t worry. Kṛṣṇa is here, and everything will be fine.”

  3. Vision of Lord Caitanya in Māyāpur:
While walking alone on the banks of the Gaṅgā, you had a vision of Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu smiling compassionately:
“You have come to this holy place to spread My name. Do not fear anything. I will always be with you. My blessings are with you, and you will succeed in your mission of spreading the Holy Name.”

These moments reflect the mystical reality of your connection to Kṛṣṇa’s mission and demonstrate the depth of your devotion, humility, and unwavering trust in divine mercy.

A Living Legacy of Compassion

You are affectionately known as the “Gentle Giant”—through your relentless sacrifice, Māyāpur, temple projects, and the worldwide ISKCON family continue to flourish. You’ve engraved your love on the hearts of thousands, guiding us toward self-realization with unshakeable determination.

We remind ourselves daily of your example. Your integrity, purity, and compassion for all—especially the most vulnerable—serve as a blueprint for how we strive to live and serve.

ISKCON Raichur’s Humble Offering

In Raichur, Karnataka, an eco-friendly temple is under construction. Devotees, with their own hands, are making adobe bricks. Preaching through Bhakti-vṛkṣas, book distribution, prasādam seva, go-śālā care, and youth/kids programs is ongoing—though greatly challenged by lack of manpower, resources, and local spiritual awareness.

With blades of grass in our mouths, we humbly beg for your lotus feet to grace ISKCON Raichur with your divine visit.

We offer daily prayers to Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Śyāmācandra, Gaura-Nitāi, and Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva, chanting the Dhanvantari mantra, Nṛsiṁha-kavaca, and the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra for your health, strength, and complete success in fulfilling the mission of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu and Śrīla Prabhupāda.

All glories to Your Holiness!
All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda!
All glories to the Vaiṣṇava devotees of the Lord!

Your insignificant eternal servants,
On behalf of the congregation devotees at
ISKCON Śrī Rādhā-Śyāmācandra Mandir,
Kṛṣṇagiri Hills, Āshāpura Road, Raichur, Karnataka, India
