Vyāsa-pūjā 2025

Dīnadayāla dāsa  (Pune - India)

Guru Mahārāja,

Please accept my humble obeisances. All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda. Vyāsa-pūjā ceremony kī jaya!

oṁ ajñāna-timirāndhasya jñānāñjana-śalākayā
cakṣur unmīlitaṁ yena tasmai śrī-gurave namaḥ

Gurudeva, I was rotting in the cycle of birth and death, but because of your causeless mercy, I have been able to revive my forgotten relationship with Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Personality of Godhead, and realize my abhidheya of rendering service to Lord Kṛṣṇa.

I still remember your instruction at the time of initiation, way back in July 1980, to preach Kṛṣṇa consciousness. I have been following your instructions and was preaching by giving classes on Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam and Bhagavad-gītā, making devotees, and writing books on Kṛṣṇa consciousness.

You were kind enough to visit Nairobi, Kenya, in 1985 for the first-ever Ratha-yātrā festival in East Africa and blessed me by staying at my house for a few days.

I was able to render personal sevā during that time and realized that Your Holiness was very humble and merciful.

The following Bhāgavatam śloka is perfectly fitting in your spiritual life:

titikṣavaḥ kāruṇikāḥ
suhṛdaḥ sarva-dehinām
ajāta-śatravaḥ śāntāḥ
sādhavaḥ sādhu-bhūṣaṇam

(Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 3.25.21)

Your Holiness is very tolerant, as you are forgiving your disciples who are not following your orders of chanting sixteen rounds daily and following the regulative principles. Rather, you are taking their offenses on your health and are always ready to give them an opportunity to reform. Your Holiness is very merciful, as you want to preach to everyone you meet—whether in the hospital, temple, or on the street. You are following in the footsteps of Prahlāda Mahārāja and want to deliver everyone you meet.

In spite of your indifferent health, you are endeavoring to install the footprints of Lord Caitanya in South India, wherever Mahāprabhu went.

Even at this age, you have completed Bhakti-vaibhava and Bhakti-vedānta courses.

You have instructed your disciples to complete all courses from Bhakti-śāstrī to Bhakti-vedānta.

I have also completed Bhakti-vaibhava and am now pursuing the Bhakti-vedānta course.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad has awarded the "Hindu Ratna" title to Your Holiness.

I always keep praying at the lotus feet of Lord Nṛsiṁhadeva for your long life and good health, as you want to fulfill Śrīla Prabhupāda’s desire of installing Śrī Śrī Rādhā-Mādhava in the TOVP, Māyāpur.

Seeking your mercy,

Your humble servant,
Dīna Dayāla Dāsa
