Vyāsa-pūjā 2025

Rasaśekhara Gopāla Dāsa (Reading - United Kingdom)

Dearest Spiritual Father,

Hare Kṛṣṇa. This is me—your most fallen servant. Please kindly accept my humble daṇḍavat praṇāms at the dust of your lotus feet on this most auspicious day of your appearance in this material world.

I wish you a very happy Vyāsa-pūjā and pray to Śrīmatī Rādhārāṇī, Śrī Śrī Rādhā Mādhava, Śrī Narasiṁhadeva, Prahlāda Mahārāja, Śrī Pañca-tattva, and Śrīla Prabhupāda for many happy returns of your auspicious day, Guru Mahārāja.

Gurudeva, I always think—even with so many health problems, how do you keep going so strong in your duties, while I find every excuse to escape my Kṛṣṇa conscious duties each day!?

You are clearly an associate of Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu, and you are truly special. How fortunate I am to have you as my Gurudeva and as my spiritual father. I once read that writing for the pleasure of Guru and Kṛṣṇa can bring about personal purification for the disciple. I feel I am experiencing that now. I feel as if I am in front of you, looking at your graceful lotus feet, as I write. All glories to your lotus feet, Mahārāja.

I am very fortunate that I have been given this opportunity to write an offering.

Guru Mahārāja, you have always provided me with exactly what I lack—to improve myself (though I still have a very, very long way to go)—through your classes, your lectures, your vāṇī, and your writings in the magazine. Even the short clips these days on Facebook help me by lighting my path. I find them very useful, and they help me feel connected to you, even though I am physically far away. So thank you—for this and for your team, who are doing such fantastic service.

When we saw each other in London last time, and when I was departing after rendering some small sevā to you, you said that we must enjoy this separation and not be sad. I am trying to do exactly that.

Guru Mahārāja, I am not good at writing glorifications of you, but I do know that your glories are unlimited. My limited words are not enough to express the magnitude of your mercy. Guru Mahārāja, please know that I am sincerely trying to work on myself and to improve. Though I am still very far from where I should be, I will continue to pull myself up. Please don’t lose hope in me, and please continue to be merciful and kind. I will try to become a good devotee—if not in this life, then in some birth.

On this beautiful Vyāsa-pūjā, I pray to Lord Caitanya to keep me as a small particle of dust at your lotus feet. O beloved Guru Mahārāja, I hope that one day I may be given the opportunity to taste the nectar of your personal association and to celebrate your Vyāsa-pūjā at Śrī Māyāpur Dhāma.

Guru Mahārāja, I am wishing you the most wonderful Vyāsa-pūjā celebration, again and again.

Śrīla Prabhupāda ki jaya!
Śrīla Guru Mahārāja Vyāsa-pūjā Mahotsava ki jaya!

Your most fallen child,
Rasaśekhara Gopāla Dāsa
