Dear Guru Mahārāja,

Please accept my most respectful obeisances at your lotus feet. I am Mahalingam, and I began following ISKCON in 2019. I am extremely fortunate to now consider myself your spiritual son. Thank you for accepting this fallen soul under your guidance.

I acknowledge that I am still an aspiring devotee, not yet qualified, but I strive to chant my 16 rounds of japa with beads. However, I still feel like a rascal in my bhakti. My progress has been slow due to my job, and my mind often wanders to material thoughts. I acknowledge that my practice of bhakti has not been consistent, and I have not yet fully dedicated myself to devotional service as I should.

With a humble heart, I ask for your mercy and blessings to help me maintain steady progress in my devotion. I am praying for your blessings to secure a permanent job in Qatar for a few years, as my current situation requires financial stability to better support my family and contribute more to the service of Kṛṣṇa. While I understand that everything in Kali-yuga is temporary, having a stable position will allow me to focus more on my spiritual growth and devotional service.

I also pray for your mercy to engage my whole family in Kṛṣṇa consciousness. It is my sincere wish to bring them closer to the teachings of Lord Kṛṣṇa and have them participate in devotional service. I know that you are full of compassion and mercy, and I humbly beg for your blessings in this regard.

Lastly, I wish to sing Vaiṣṇava songs during ārati, and I seek your mercy to help me develop the proper mood and purity to serve in this way.

Please bless me with your grace so that I may continue in my devotional journey and be an instrument in serving you and Lord Kṛṣṇa.

Your humble servant,
Mahalingam
