Vyāsa-pūjā 2025

Śacī Kumāra Nimāi dāsa (London - Soho Street - United Kingdom)

Dear Śrīla Gurudeva,

Please accept my most humble obeisances at your divine lotus feet. All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda. All glories to your tireless service to his mission.

On this auspicious occasion of your Vyāsa-pūjā, I pray for the opportunity to reflect on and honour the immeasurable mercy you bestow upon all of us, your disciples and followers.

In Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam 3.22.7, it is said:

“The real fact is that a bona fide spiritual master knows the nature of a particular man and what sort of duties he can perform in Kṛṣṇa consciousness, and he instructs him in that way... The faithful execution of the instruction which he receives from the spiritual master is the only duty of a disciple, and that will bring him perfection.”

This purport is especially meaningful to me this year. It reveals how the spiritual master expertly recognises and engages each disciple's nature in Kṛṣṇa’s service—whether in cooking, preaching, writing, or worship. I am becoming more and more aware that simply hearing your instructions, with attention and sincerity, and executing them faithfully, is the true success of my life.

You exemplify the perfect disciple and the perfect spiritual master—completely absorbed in Śrīla Prabhupāda’s instructions, and constantly encouraging us to hear and serve with faith and dedication. Through your books, your classes, your presence—even when we are thousands of miles away—your voice reaches our ears and gives us direction. And by following even a fraction of that guidance, we feel the touch of grace.

Despite my many shortcomings and tendency to drift, I feel hopeful knowing that you are patiently guiding me, reminding me again and again to stay fixed in hearing, chanting, and serving according to my nature.

Śrīla Gurudeva, I pray to be a disciple who does not merely admire your service, but serves according to your instruction. I pray to become reliable, sincere, and ready to act—faithfully executing even one of your instructions, considering it my life and soul.

Please bless me with the strength to hear through the ear, and to carry your words in my heart. Please bless me to be steady and useful in your mission. Please bless me with unwavering faith in your guidance, which is the most precious gift in my life.

Your aspiring servant,
Saci Kumāra Nimai Dāsa
