My Dear Śrīla Ācāryapāda,
dui-guccha tṛṇa duṅhe daśane dhariyā
prabhu dekhi’ dūre paḍe daṇḍavat hañā
Seeing the Lord from a distance, the two brothers put two clumps of straw between their teeth and immediately fell down on the ground like rods offering Him obeisances, nama oṁ viṣṇu-pādāya kṛṣṇa-preṣṭāya bhū-tale śrīmate jayapatākā svāmin iti nāmine, following the example of Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī and Śrī Vallabha (Anupama Mallika) I offer my respectful obeisances unto the Lotus feet of His Divine Grace Jayapatākā Swami, Śrīla Ācāryapāda, who is very dear to Lord Kṛṣṇa and Lord Caitanya, having taken shelter at Their Lotus feet.
On this your Vyāsa-pūjā day, your disciples all around the world will be chanting your glorious adventures and discussing your transcendental qualities, I meditate this day on those times when you have allowed me to serve you. I feel great happiness seeing you arrive at the airport and trying to please you while you stay with us. Awaking you in the morning, serving you throughout the day and seeing you take rest at night; I can only pray that I may do things better the next day. The hardest part of serving you is the intense separation I feel on seeing you walk down the concourse to your plane, ready to travel to other temples to further preach the glories of chanting the holy-name. At such a time, I can only pray for your safe trip and swift return to New Pānihāṭi Dhāma.
Your servant,
Jita-krodha Dāsa
