Vyāsa-pūjā 2018

Śrī Narasiṁha Dāsa (Coimbatore - India)

My dear and wonderful Guru Maharaja,

please accept my respectful and affectionate obeisances! All glories to you and Srila Prabhupada!

Guru Maharaja, my fingers refuse to commit typing this year's Vyasa puja offering because heart is feeling so very sad..but doing it as a duty..….. as I am typing this as you are taken for a scan in Gleneagles hospital. Its very poignant feeling to see you wheeled away to the scan centre….memories flood back of you walking with so much power and poise with hundreds following you from behind. Your powerful danda which dispels Kali far away…..why all this should happen to you and me to see it is one of the questions which I have for Krsna if and when I get to meet Him…

Amidst all this, is your unwavering spirit of service and commitment which shines out like a silver ray from a dark cloud. What an example!!! What an example!! What an example!! For all times to come, you are an example of how a disciple should be dedicated to the orders of one’s spiritual master. It also gives us a beautiful telling picture of the strength of the relationship which you carry with your spiritual master, our Srila Prabhupada…

ekākī āmāra, nāhi pāya bala,
hari-nāma-sańkīrtane
tumi kṛpā kori', śraddhā-bindu diyā,
deho' kṛṣṇa-nāma-dhane

kabe heno kṛpā, labhiyā e jana,
kṛtārtha hoibe, nātha!
śakti-buddhi-hīna, āmi ati dīna,
koro' more ātma-sātha

This is one prayer I would like to pray to you. Please bless me with the strength to struggle and practice genuine bhakti as a balanced individual in this world, a conviction in the loving heart of the Lord, and feelings of personalistic love in my relationship with you and the whole parampara acharyas and other living entities, and may I always be a source of pleasure to vaisnavas - seniors, equals and juniors, and other living entities as well.

Hare Krsna Guru Maharaja…

Hoping to see you back normal health and walking on your own… :)

your struggling son,

aspiring to be a loving servant of a servant of a servant,

Sri Nrsimha Dasa
