Vyāsa-pūjā 2018

Satyamedha Gaurāṅga dāsa (Newcastle upon Tyne - United Kingdom)

Dear Guru Maharaja,
Please accept my respectful obeisances at the dust of Your lotus feet.
All glories to Your Divine Grace! All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

Dear spiritual father, your whole life is dedicated to serving Srila Prabhupada and saving the suffering souls, even after the stroke you never stopped. Unable to walk, with great difficulty in speaking and communicating, but you never give up! You are travelling all over the world in your wheelchair and connecting to ever more people on this planet, delivering the suffering souls. Srila Prabhupada never gave up, even after suffering from two heart-attacks on Jaladuta. And my dear spiritual father, you never give up! This is our family tradition.

My dearest god-brother Maha Varaha Prabhu once told me that we need to flood every media and every possible channel with the message of your life, the message of Srila Prabhupada’s mission.
This is my thought day and night, how to serve Your Divine Grace in the most effective way, broadcasting your message and propagating Srila Prabhupada’s teaching exponentially, on every media channel and social network.

Several years ago, once in London, you had instructed me to serve at ISKCON Newcastle. Since then I’ve always tried my best to fulfil your instruction and finding ways to preach to local western people. There was a phase when I was going out on Harinama on my own, almost every day, to different places and towns, sometimes not so safe, but I always felt your presence, you were always there with me.

I remember one time I was doing Harinama in a town on my own in North-East of UK, it was not such a friendly place, and I had Prabhupada’s books on the table. But by your blessings and Krishna’s mercy things took a different turn, so many people came, took books and gave plenty donations. All the books got distributed. Then it started raining with dark clouds. But I couldn’t stop kirtan, continued singing. There were people standing under sheds and in shops, clapping cheerfully; many of them had Prabhupada’s books in their hands. It was raining heavily, and tears were rolling from my eyes, I felt you were with me dear Guru Maharaja, I felt my eternal father was right next to me.

Similarly, on many occasions, while preaching I experienced the power of your instructions. I was always praying and dreaming that we would have more people on Harinama in Newcastle. By your mercy, things have improved so much after all these years and now we go out on Harinama sometimes with 20-30 devotees. Last year we did a Harinama in front of 56,000 local English people and they loved singing Hare Krishna!

Dear Guru Maharaja, every day I pray that Krishna may allow me to serve you eternally, may He allow me to be at your lotus feet eternally; and may Krishna allow me to serve you effectively in a way that pleases you most and is in line with your eternal service to Srila Prabhupada’s mission!

Thank you, dear Guru Maharaja!
