Vyāsa-pūjā 2021

Bhaktisiddhānta Swami (New Delhi - East of Kailash - India)

Dearest Guru Maharaj,

Please accept my prostrated obeisances at your lotus feet! All glories to Srila Prabhupada!

What inconceivable times we live in, an antithesis to the familiar guru-disciple relations of the past; a limitation in vapuh sanga amidst such plandemic scenarios of division. However, we are most fortunate to be together in Vani, the mainstay of Gaudiya relations.

Despite the battle within an  oppressive world drama, you have transcended a barrage of most difficult hurdles; from physical attacks, a  knife, heart condition, a curing new kidney and liver, and even amidst a weakened immune system, securing a victory against covid!!! And how can we overlook the feat of guiding 50,000+ disciples on the path!!! Hmmn Jayapataka indeed!!!

All the while, you have maintained a steady schedule of preaching by example; presently through your regular internet sadhu sanga. With a focus on Krsna katha, you demonstrate an internal absorption amidst the most difficult times, what to speak of preparing us all for the final test in these present bodies.

You are our honorary Guru, an extension of the Supreme showing us how to truly love and live, irrespective of all temporal external affairs. Once, you personally told me how ‘The spiritual master directly introduces the disciple to Krsna.’ You described this in the context of finally attaining a spiritual body and that climactic  event of meeting with the Lord, however, we see that ‘this introduction’ has actually begun with your association and instructions to us in this material plain!

With this in mind Gurudeva, the drama props of adhyātmik, adhibhautik, and adhidaivik curtain scenes subside in the background, simply becoming spring boards to our Eternal  Relation. Thank you Guru Maharaj for reaching out to me, to all of us, with your invitation, nourishment, and  Introduction.

Best Wishes on this Most Auspicious Day,

Your aspiring servant,

Bhaktisiddhanta Swami
