Vyāsa-pūjā 2021

Shruti R Raman (Bangalore - Sri Jagannath Mandir Kumaraswamy Layout - India)

Hare Krishna dear Guru Maharaj!

Please accept my respectful obeisances. I have attempted to glorify You on this wondrous occasion with the help of a poem.

I tend to get really proud of the gifts Lord Krishna has given me, so I'm afraid that I didn't write this poem in the right mood. Please overlook my ocean of faults while reading it. I hope that this gives you pleasure :-)

Title: The ISKCON Saint from Wisconsin

Listen, listen everyone, the day has finally come!

When distress, misery and everything glum,

Have covered their faces in shame and run.

The sun of mercy shines brightly on us,

No cloud can cast a shadow on us,

For its rays are unlimited and aimed at us.

What is this day? Why is it so special?

Why are the demigods above showering petals?

It is the holiest Vyāsa Pūjā day!

Our dearest Saviour appeared on this day,

With the sole aim to drive our miseries away.

He distributes eternal love limitlessly,

And serves Srīla Prabhupād tirelessly,

Increasing the wonder in our minds endlessly.

He is a wonder in every sense,

The embodiment of Mahāprabhu's preaching's essence,

And is always under Srīla Prabhupād's guidance.

The word unstoppable doesn't do Him justice,

Nothing material can stand in the way of His service,

Be it a violent attack or a stroke or a deadly virus.

His determination to love and serve,

Is ever-rising like an exponential curve.

He gives in so much abundance,

That it's impossible to conceive with our intelligence,

The limit of our good fortunes' confluence.

So, come on everyone, let's welcome this day,

And with a humble heart let us all pray,

That we receive and spread this mercy in the best possible way!!

Thank you so much Guru Maharaj for all the mercy you have showered upon me. Please bless me that I be receptive to Your unlimitedly kind blessings.

Your aspiring daughter,

Shruti
