Vyāsa-pūjā 2018

Mahāsundarī Mādhavī dāsī (Austin - United States of America)

Hare Krishna Srila Guru Maharaja,

Please accept my humble obeisances.

All Glories to Srila Prabhupada.

All Glories to You and your lifetime of service to Srila Prabhupada and his mission.

All Glories to your most auspicious Vyasa Puja!

Guru Maharaja, words fail us as we try to write an offering for you this year. Each year, we realize more and more just how special and power your mercy is and how fallen we are that we are unable to truly serve you and take in all that mercy and share it.

Last year, we were witnesses of that overflow of mercy when you gave a very special message for the devotees of the Austin/Round Rock yatra as we had shared with you about the opening of our new store front temple. In your message, you urged us to work together to please Srila Prabhupada with continued preaching of the holy name through Kirtan and books. Despite of being in so much physical discomfort, you are still there to give blessings and inspire us even with just your glance.

Guru Maharaja, even with just a moment's association with yourself, there is an overflow of mercy that comes, so much that at times we feel like misers - keeping all that mercy to ourself and not sharing it with others. There is so much strength in that mercy that we can get in that short physical association we have with you that we are now inspired to share that mercy with more and people.

Guru Maharaja, as powerful your physical association is, we are coming to realize that there is EVEN more power in listening to your classes, reading your books and trying to follow your instruction. Recently, we were hearing classes from the 80s that your divine self gave on Caitanya Bhagavata in Atlanta and we realized just how much of yourself is there in those classes. We are eternally grateful to you for sharing all that lost knowledge with us.

Guru Maharaja, we have a long way to go to be able to serve you properly. We have a long way to go to follow your instructions perfectly. And we have a long way to develop the desire to hear and chant. However, by your mercy we have faith, hope, encouragement and strenght. We hope that we are able to continue to serve you and help you on your mission to help Srila Prabhupada.

On this most auspicious occasion of Vyasa Puja, we make a promise to your divine self that we will make a renewed effort in our sadhana and service and continue to share the glories of Mahaprabhu with everyone. We pray to Lord Nrsimha deva to shower his blessings upon your divine self.

Your servants,

Mahasundari Madhavi dasi and
Rupasagara das (VDA)
