Vyāsa-pūjā 2018

Yaśodā Śacī devī dāsī (New Orleans - United States of America)

Dearest Srila Gurudeva.

Please accept my humble obeisances unto your Lotus Feet. All glories to you! All glories to Srila Prabhupada.

Srila Gurudeva, I would like to thank you from the bottom of my soul and heart for your role in my life. You have impacted me for the good more than any other human on Earth. From you, I learned how to be tolerant, compassionate, and kind, (at least as much as I have these but I am still trying to improve). From you, I got the idea to always without fail, look for the good in every person and not think on any negative traits.

I have gratitude and give thanks for every single part of you in my life. I give great thanks for the person who introduced me to you. I give thanks for Your kind and necessary guidance and just the times I traveled with you and learned from being in your association.

I give thanks for every single one of your disciples. I give thanks for every single person in New Orleans and especially for all of the experiences that I have been fortunate to have here. I consider Sri Vrindavan Dham, is wonderful at first, quick mercy, rose flower garlands, sensory overload of amazement, but quick entry into troubles like health concerns, etc. So to me, Sri Mayapur Dham at first is easy to discount—where is the quick mercy like in Sri Vrindavan Dham? I wondered. But I believe that Sri Mayapur Dham covers itself, protecting the mercy to see if the person is enough tolerant and humble enough to get the mercy. Gradually with time, and steadiness, some mercy can come to such a person as myself. Srila Gurudeva, you were the main giver of that mercy of Sri Mayapur Dham to me. You directly gave me mercy flowing from Sri Sri Panca Tattva and Sri Nrsimhadeva Bhagavan. For that, I thank you forever.

New Orleans devotees most remind me of the Dham Vasi of Sri Mayapur Dham, and unto them all I give my thanks. They can see with time if a person is tolerant and humble enough to deserve entry into devotional mellows. I pray I will be qualified in their eyes, but if not, I will remain a servant to them all nevertheless.

Any difficult times, I also take as mercy, since any correction or advice coming from any senior devotee is rare and to be treasured. I offer my respects and thanksgiving to everyone who has corrected me and helped me become more humble and tolerant. To react in any other way means that I would not be following you as a disciple.

Dearest Srila Gurudeva, you have come as a savior of the fallen, friend of the poor and hopeless and given us hope. I just want you to know that I have become more serious in Devotional Life, and am starting to treasure more and more the moments I have had with you, the way you have guided me in a real daily way for so many years. I pray that the Lord keep you with us for much longer, but I will try to do my part to not rely on your personal association to keep me strong. I will do my best, as I am able, to dedicate to one of the projects that Srila Prabhupada asked you to impliment. I want you to know that I see you as the strongest relationship that I have on this Earth. With tears,

I vow to always remain, your eternal servant and follower, and eternal daughter,
Yasoda Saci Devi Dasi
