Vyāsa-pūjā 2022

Nayana Mañjarī devī dāsī (Washington D.C. - United States of America)

My dear Spiritual Father,

Please accept my respectful obesiances. All glories to Your Divine Grace. All glories to Śrīla Prabhupāda.

Dear Gurudeva just recently I came across this verse in SB 1.18.23 part of which says...

nabhaḥ patanty ātma-samaṁ patattriṇas

tathā samaṁ viṣṇu-gatiṁ vipaścitaḥ

“As the birds fly in the sky as far as their capacity allows, so do the learned devotees describe the Lord as far as their realization allows.”

And all I could think of was that just as there is no end to Lord Caitanya's glories and one can describe them as far as one is able to. Similarly, Your Divine Grace being the representative of the Supreme Lord, for us your glories are unlimited but just as a bird cannot reach the end of the sky, it only flies as far as it is able to so will I even though being unqualified try to say a few things as far as my limited intelligence allows, as the ocean of your mercy and compassion is so wide and deep that it can't be measured. It can only be felt by drowning in it and you have bestowed that mercy on an insignificant soul like myself where I have had the opportunity to taste that nectar of mercy.

So, there is a lot to say about your divine grace’s glories but limited as I am, I always fall short of words so will try to write down a few words of gratefulness.

You are our life and soul
Without who life is a big hole

And to make it a complete whole
Only You play the major role

You put kṛṣṇa in the center of our life
And removed the ignorance with the knowledge knife

That changed the whole ball game
As we could still live in the material world’s flame

Which otherwise would have consumed us
But your mercy gave us life’s purpose

Without thinking or caring about oneself
You have selflessly given yourself

To conditioned souls like myself
Who can't even be grateful to thyself

But today I want to Thank you from the core of my heart
For accepting us as kṛṣṇa’s insignificant part

So please keep us rightly engaged
As only devotional service can make us uncaged

From the clutches of Mahā-Māyā
And help us embrace the Yogamāyā

Dear Guru Mahārāja on the auspicious day of your Vyāsa-pūjā I pray for your good health and well-being. I pray to Śrī Śrī Prahlāda Nṛsiṁhadeva, Śrī Śrī Pañcatattva and Śrī Śrī Rādhā Mādhava to bestow Their choicest blessings on Your Divine Grace today and always.

Thank you for everything,

Aspiring to be under your shelter forever,

Your insignificant daughter,

Nayanamañjarī Devī Dāsī (dīkṣa)
