Vyāsa-pūjā 2018

Buddhi Kṛṣṇa dāsa (Mathurā Deśa - Middle East)

om ajnana-timirandhasya jnananjana-salakaya caksur unmilitam yena tasmai sri-gurave namah

Respected Gurumaharaj,

Kindly accept our most respectful obeisance unto your lotus feet.
All glories to your Holiness, all glories to Srila Prabhupada. On this auspicious occasion of your vyasapuja celebrations, first of all we offer our prayers to our Lordships to keep you physically healthy and fit to fulfill all your desires that are aligned in line with the previous Acharyas. We look forward to have your darshan on the Vysasan on the Vyasapuja day which is going to take place on this auspicious day in Chennai.

Dear Gurudeva, it is wonderful to read your small and transcendental instructions to your disciples’ that are posted in various electronic medias which we take into our hearts. However, it is disheartening to hear and realize how much sufferings your physical body is undergoing at this critical situation. When you were healthy and strong you did completely dedicate your body, mind and soul in the service of your Guru Maharaj to bring up the Mayapur Dham from the very scratch. You were very found of doing everything by yourself, may be by walk, by bicycle, jeep, truck or whatever available became your modes of transport for carrying various materials for developing Mayapur Dham. You were very particular in handling Lakshmi for building a temple for Lakshmi-Pathi and your skill and dexterity in bargaining before any purchase is well praised. What we can do in all our life is very very insignificant for you as compared to your services to your Gurudeva. However in this humble state of our existence we dedicate whatever extra rounds of mala daily we do that may be 5 or 6 or sometimes 10 to your recovery, Guru Maharaj. Every morning, I make it a point to chant few rounds of Dhanwanthari mantra and Mrithumjaya mantra with a hope that would benefit you knowing well that these are very very insignificant. Guru Maharaj, you mentioned that “there are no sufficient words to describe the relationship which evolves between the spiritual master and the disciple when the disciple achieves pure devotional service. That is the greatest gift that one can get from the spiritual master. Pure devotion to Krsna is desired even by Brahma, Siva, great Rsis etc. But one can get that priceless gift from the spiritual master by his mercy…...” We humbly meditate on your lotus feet for that mercy….Gurudev….knowing very well that we can never repay for that. With your blessings we are able to support the book distribution at two occasions i.e. during December Marathon and during your Vyasa Puja celebrations. For December marathon Mathuradesh participated with 325 Bhagavad Gitas, through BBT Kerala. And for your Vyasa Puja last year Mathuradesh devotees contributed 5700 BGs which was top of the list in whole Iskcon yatras. This year we are trying to achieve better than last year with the wholehearted support from your disciples’ in Mathuradesh. So far we reached a figure of 4247.

Our humble prayer is that Guru Maharaj may kindly bless all these pure souls who have sponsored Bhagavad Gita on the occasion of your vyasapuja these years and the December Marathon. With your blessings, we have started a new preaching centre in a labour camp wherein about 25 devotees are attending and few have already taken Shiksha Levals. Another labour camp preaching is reactivated wherein about 15 devotees are attending. These are in addition to our regular BVs and study classes.

We also humbly seek your blessings to all our members so that they all steadily advance in devotional service and become your eternal servants. Please bless us and our children so that we all develop more attraction towards your lotus feet and serve you better.

We also seek your blessings to our son Monu who is at the age of entering into grihasta ashram. Kindly forgive us for any offenses knowingly or unknowingly committed by us.

Yours insignificant children,
Budhi Krishna Das (Diksha disciple),
Sakhi Kalavathi Devi Dasi (Diksha disciple),
Monu & Unni (aspiring)
