Vyāsa-pūjā 2023

Gnana Varshita Chakka (New Jersey - United States of America)

Hare Kṛṣṇa Guru Mahārāja,

Daṇḍavat Praṇām, I am very grateful to you Guru Mahārāja because I wouldn’t be writing this letter and be in Kṛṣṇa consciousness if it wasn’t for you. Guru Mahārāja, you once said that devotees are so dear that they are worth dying for. Guru Mahārāja, you are so merciful towards your devotees and I am very happy to connect to a guru like you. The first time I saw you Guru Mahārāja was on March 24, 2021. It was the best moment of my life. By looking at you Guru Mahārāja I got inspired because even if I get a small problem I make all the excuses but you are in the wheelchair struggling but still wanting to preach. Then 2 days later Guru Mahārāja you came to the ISKCON temple in New Jersey to give a lecture and I still remember the question that one of the Prabhujī asked you, Guru Mahārāja: Guru Mahārāja I saw you 20yrs back, and again I am seeing you now. You had the same energy and your dedication has grown ever since I saw you. What keeps you going Guru Mahārāja even with all the health problems you have?” Guru Mahārāja, you said it’s because of my Guru Prabhupāda. Śrīla Prabhupāda was facing so many challenges throughout the journey to America to preach about Kṛṣṇa. He had so many heart attacks but still survived and preached until his death. Guru Mahārāja, you look up to your Guru for any problem you get and come back stronger. Guru Mahārāja, you are the best example of being a Guru and I will always look up to you. I heard in one of Prabhupāda’s lectures “The spiritual master and Kṛṣṇa are two parallel lines. The train, on two tracks, moves forward. The spiritual master and Kṛṣṇa are like these two tracks, they must be served simultaneously.” Kṛṣṇa helps one to find a bona fide spiritual master and a bona fide spiritual master helps one to understand Kṛṣṇa. So without a Guru, we can not reach Kṛṣṇa, and Guru Mahārāja you will be one to help us. We can not build a bridge with sand in an ocean, similarly, without a guru, we can not progress in Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Where there is Sun-god there is no darkness and I strongly believe that you are there to provide the light for everyone on the journey to reach Kṛṣṇa.

I know you will be very busy reading all the wonderful letters, but if you are reading this line you must have taken the time to read my letter so thank you very much.

From your dearest devotee,

Gnana Varshita Chakka (Aspiration)

New Jersey
